Amzie Strickland,Barnard Hughes died today

Both appeared in numerous TV and feature films including Doc Hollywood. Her first audition was for I Love Lucy and she got the part. From then until 2000, Amzie performed more than 650 guest starring roles on more than 350 television shows. Favorite guest star appearances included Gunsmoke, the Dick Van Dyke Show, the Twilight Zone, Wagon Train, Chicago Hope, Murphy Brown, Matlock, Happy Days, Three's Company, Dragnet, Golden Girls, Inherit the Wind (TV movie), 7th Heaven and ER. Favorite movie roles included Tower of Terror, Fire in the Dark, Doc Hollywood and Krippendorf's Tribe.

Among Mr. Hughes's many movies: "Midnight Cowboy," "The Hospital," "Cold Turkey," "Where's Poppa?", "Oh, God!," "Maxie," "The Lost Boys," "Doc Hollywood," "Sister Act 2" and "Cradle Will Rock."

Imagine they appeared in the same movie and passed on the same day.
