1. Must be a Republican kitten.
Can't get any more two-faced than to be a Republican.

2. Another one?
There was one of these not too long ago that I caught at snopes.

It's a rare defect, but I guess with the number of kittens born and the amount of media time available for junk news.

21. All I can say is poor momma....
Twice the eater.

Since the kitten is so far healthy and it's not very old yet, I think it's going to be a wait and see.

The other one, IIRC, died of something unrelated.

4. I saw that news report, the poor creature was not eating
And the little kid holding it was squeezing the shit out of it. I give it a couple of days, tops, poor little thing.

8. saw that too...
I caught myself screaming at the kid on the tee-vee. Poor kitty. It's health and prognosis seemed to take a back seat in that story.

No way should that kid have been handling that tiny kitten. Watching him made me sick.

9. It started nursing later, according to KO
although he did not specify which mouth.

I thought it was bizarre that all these adults were sitting around allowing a six-year-old boy to be interviewed by a local newscaster about this. Not a single adult seemed to want to go on the camera. They let the little boy do all the talking. Which wasn't very informative, to say the least. Then again, what can you say about a two-faced kitten?

10. I saw this on the news.
During the story, I was saddened to hear that it wasn't nursing. Afterwards, the talking head man said it had started nursing, and everything was all right.

Having just been blessed with a litter of eight Belgian Sheepdog puppies two days ago, I could empathize.

16. Um, maybe. I dunno, actually.
This is the second litter my dog has sired (and the first we whelped.) The first litter was four boys and five girls. This litter was six girls and two boys. There was also one stillborn male.:(

20. Probably.
The German Shepherd we had came from a litter of eight puppies. The breeder said most litters had 6-9 puppies. GSDs are pretty close in size and body type to a Belgian Sheepdog.

19. Beautiful babies
And they seem like they are in good care. They may be in good hands but not all animals are so fortunate.

This is probably a bad time to remind everyone to spay/neuter your pets, but I'm going to do it anyway. All of my animals are rescues, because some jackass wanted to experience the "joy of birth" not realizing that that joy is often the "joy of euthanasia" or people like me taking in the unwanted "joys" that get dumped off.

I hope the kitten in question survives, and I would take this cat into my home in a heartbeat.

Sorry, I watched the entire video earlier today on CNN and that little boy was mauling the poor thing...The mom should have stepped in and taken care of it....instead of a 4 or 5 yr old

If I had money I'd offer a bundle for that kitty just to get it away from that kid.

apparently the birthing process was in jeopardy, how can that kitten survive? this is worse than a siamese twin birth at least surgery can be done.

The end timers will probably see it as yet another sign.

Edited to add that it happened in Oregon last year too: http://www.newsreview.info/article/20050616/NEWS/50616015

Must not be as rare as people think.
