Am I the only person WITHOUT a damn song ringtone?
They get on my nerves, quite honestly. And they don't get my attention like a classic ringtone does.

My cell is set as "Continental" with a nice classic 2 ring tone, and it's great. :)

18. Oh, ho ho ho! But your ringtone is a song.
It is a little old melody thought up by "Jrolg," about 30,000 years before Christ was born. Jrolg was pounding on wood stumps of different sizes with some old enemy femur bones and noticed the difference in the tones. There were two different sounds; one higher than the other. In a way, he was the first Mozart. I think he named the song, "Kool."

Yep, that's it. Your cell phone plays "Kool" by Jrolg. :)

5. Nope. I have a boring monotone ringer and I like it that way.
Keep it on a low setting w/vibrate cause I hate to hear it blaring. Don't like cell phones much anyway; whatever happened to just not being available? :hi:

14. Fuck you and your lame attempt at controlling everyone's ring tones.
Your nerves are your problem. Your nerves can kiss my fucking ass. Nobody gives a fuck what gets your attention and what does not.

Please try to focus on something meaningful, next time.

I'm all about freedom, dipshit.

Thanks,

Floog ;)

16. I have the Simpsons Theme
I couldn't resist. To each his or her own ringtone -- just turn the damn thing off during classes and meetings. And keep your voice down when talking on them -- not everyone wants to hear your conversation.

Note: I don't mean you, I mean a generic sort of you.

23. I sometimes alternate...
with "Hey you, porker! Yes, I'm calling you a 'porker' because I'm protected by my impenetrable cereal-box fort!" (Also Stewie, natch... ;-) ).

The Sexy Party one is good if you're in the mood to see weird looks on peoples' faces, especially when they can't recognize Stewie's voice. :smoke: (Of course, I turn it off in classes, in the theater, etc., since I'm not an ass--my screenname notwithstanding...).

32. I see no need for cell phones to ring. Vibrate mode works quite well.
Nothing is more annoying than the person at work at the leaves his/her cell phone at their desk and walks away for hours. Getting to hear it ring ring ring ring. Wait 5 seconds. Missed call tone. wait 2 secs. voicemail. over and over.

33. When I'm in public
I either turn on Vibrate or leave it somewhere else. If I am face to face with someone I'm not going to answer the phone. Thats just rude. I will return the call the minute my attention is no longer needed.

If it sounds like music, I won't pay any attention to it. And my ringer is not personalized or anything. :)

37. Nope.
in fact I eschew ALL ringtones....... Vibrate only when out in public.

Unfortunately the new phone doesn't have the option of just a DING - like I had on my old phone so if I'm at home it does have some little melody thing. As short and quiet and non-obnoxious as possible as was available.

I absolutely HATE the STUPID SONGS that people play on their phones out in public. It's so "OH look at ME! I picked out *such* a cooooooooooool ringtone."

Well - that's my opinion anyway. YMMV. :)

40. Fur Elise by Beethoven
It was the only classical music I could get that sounded half decent. I don't really like Fur Elise (it's German and I don't know what it means). I'd prefer Bach or Handel.

It just doesn't interest me that much, I guess.

43. I just bought my first cell phone (at 38)
I am in favor of a wide choice of ringtones. I love how people classify themselves with their choices. One irritating guy I know has a screeching monkey ringtone...and it is LOUD. Really bad songs are equally useful information. I go for the dull, myself (I also drive a Camry) but I like how people tip me off about them with their ringtones.
