I'm feeling unusually receptive tonight. Anyone need extra Happiness?
As I posted in a Lounge thread last night, it's been a weird weekend for me. Thanks to some experimentation with chakra clearing, everything is so much...interesting on the meditation front. I'm burning a candle for Happiness right now, and think it would be interesting to try sending spiritual support to people under these circumstances. So, who needs Happy vibes (aside from my beloved catbird386, of course)?

Oh, and yes, before anyone asks, I'm trying to emote a constant stream of peaceful white light to the Middle East, for obvious reasons.

3. Hey!
I've been looking for you.

Thanks for the candle and the stones. My father is doing really well. Even the doctor is amazed at his progress. I just wanted to thank you again... It's been quite amazing. :hi:

11. Does your reach extend to southern CT...?
...I could use some positive energy these days. I try to meditate myself, but I have ADD, and thus can't focus as well as I'd like to...and I'm really in need of something to clear the air. (But don't let me, or anyone, keep you from sending positive energy to the Middle East!)

14. Well, I've been able to send support just about anywhere, but as posters
like sbj405 can attest, it doesn't always help. I'll give it a shot, though.

12. Thank you so much.
I am definitely going to need some happiness tomorrow. I got another crush on a teacher and for some reason that's considered all wrong even though we are both adults. I know she doesn't like me back anyhow. Tomorrow is going to be either the last day or the second to last day depending on her decision. If I know her, and I think I know her, she won't make us come to class Tuesday, which means tomorrow is the last chance I will have to get me foot in the door for at least friendship with her as a compromise. She's great and very openminded and that's rare in a red state. I'm really bummed that I got stupid and got another crush on someone I can't possibly have. I'd really appreciate if you'd send extra wishes for happiness my way tonight and tomorrow. My antidepressant is NOT working for me tonight like it normally does. As a matter of fact, that horrid heavy depressing feeling in my chest, a physical broken heart feeling, is back full force like I never took antidepressants. I'm just trying to laugh the whole thing off, but inside I feel like I am dying a little bit more. Please, please, please, help me get through tomorrow with no major crying outbursts. I do not want to cry. I am having a bad enough time trying to breathe in this oppressive heat without heaving and sobbing on top of it all.

Btw, thanks for offering some happy vibes. That's just what I needed, but I didn't know how to ask for it.

Although if that situation with your meds keeps up, please call your prescribing provider ASAP.

20. It's just a setback to the heartbreak, I think.
This medicine has been the only one to work for me yet. I'm just brokenhearted and feeling low about it, because it is not an isolated incident.

24. There are so few things worse than a broken heart.
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 11:02 PM by BlueIris
And while I happen to know that a change in emotional circumstances can actually affect how and to what degree of effectiveness an anti-depressant will work, no one with a candle and some clear chakras alone can fix issues in the bio-chemical department for you. So, use your best judgment there and involve your healthcare providers as appropriate. I do hope you feel better, though.

27. You must have done something, because
my pain went and has been replaced with a strong feeling to fight bigotry. That's odd. I always have the feeling to fight it deep down, but often just get through the day feeling hopeless about it. Now, if only I knew what to do. Thanks for your advice.

31. Glad you're feeling better, but
I hope you'll give yourself as much credit as you can for creating positive changes in your life. I have my candles and my newly-cleared chakras, but you're the one in charge of your life and the course it takes, happy or Happy or stressful or not. Continued best of luck, though.

32. Update
She hugged me and asked for my email address, my phone number, and my home address before I left. She called my name as I was leaving then came over with her arms out. I melted. I got the wrong signals last week. She actually said she'd miss us, the last 2 of us who were leaving the room, that is. I think being upbeat and letting her know in no uncertain terms I thought she was cool and that I'd miss her and leaving it at that really turned the whole mood around for both of us. It's a hug I will never forget. If only hugs came in pill form. They DO make the best antidepressants for me.

Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 11:09 PM by catbert836
I'll be there for a whole week. My grandparents aren't the most exciting people, but any kind of diversion from my parents is welcome indeed.

I didn't call a crisis line, but I did call one of my friends who I haven't spoken to in a while, because he goes to another school. His parents were seperated for quite a while at one point, so he knew what I was going through.

23. I do.
Firstly, I had to come home from camp yesterday, which was AMAZING. A LOT better than I thought it would be and I was kinda sad to leave. My 2 week break from politics has ended.

Secondly, this guy I've liked for a loooong time (I tend to get crushes for long periods of time) isn't talking to me anymore, ever since I asked him if he wanted to hang out. We've kinda been on and off, because I was pissed about some of the things he's said (I don't know how to describe him; he isn't a liberal like me, but I don't want to classify him as Republican either because I know he's too smart (he has a good vocabulary and you can just tell he's really smart) to be classified under that...but let's just say we're diametrically different politically). How can I like a non-liberal? Well, his dad is a part of one of my favorite music acts (I'm not going to say because that would a) give him away and b) make him really mad) and I think he's kinda cute, in a dorky sorta way. Gosh, I hate boy shit like this...It gets me so damn confused.

I need some extra happiness. But I'm not saying that my life sucks though, because it doesn't. I'm relatively wealthy (hell, my school costs like $9000 a year) and have a loving family and such. Plus, I'm not in Lebanon right now, which is a plus. =P
