3. the king of fruits...how do you eat yours..?
i score the skin in 4 places- (think of the mango as a globe- i slice the skin from the north pole to the south pole along the 0, 90, 180, 270 degree lines of longitude)

then i peel off two adjacent quarters of the skin, and eat it kind like an apple- then i peel another quarter- eat the flesh, and the peel the final quarter and finish the flesh.

it can get messy, and a towel is usally a good idea.

lately i've been getting into manila mangos- they're smaller, but the pit is flatter, and the flesh meatier.

7. Slice the mango down either side of the stone.
Score the flesh of the two pieces in a criss-cross manner. Invert said fruit slice, and -- voila! Little bite-sized chunks to nibble.

9. Or just cut the fleshy part off, puree it, add sugar and heavy cream, then
freeze it in an ice-cream freezer - heavenly.

15. They're anywhere from $1.29 - $1.99 locally (Maine).
I pick up one, but only one, every time I shop. I love them. They remind me of Mexico.
