One night, I had just come in from work and I was standing in the kitchen talking to one of my kids. It was Wednesday night and Wednesday was tootsie roll day. He was probably about twelve and the boy ate anything that didn't run faster than he did. He paused in the hallway and leaned up against the wall and spied it...on the floor near the bathroom door.

A tootsie roll, sent from heaven or something.

He pounced...snatched it up...opened wide but before he could pop it in his mouth, some modicum of common sense prevailed and he sniffed it.

It wasn't a tootsie roll.

He cleaned the litter box immediately.

Of course...he's 17 now and I still haven't let him forget it. Heh...a year or so later, I found a recipe for a kitty litter cake...

When I put that thing on the table and whipped the cover off it...
