2. The fact that was on network television is awesome.
As one of the salon.com letter's said, "the censors must have been sleeping."

7. After all the strict censorship of decades
before the 70's was a decade where they could get away with a lot of stuff. (I am assuming this is when that was from because Hudson still looks healthy). Although even for that time this is a little much! I'm thinking it was probably late at night. Does anyone know exactly what show or program this was on? Says the play it is from but not where or when it was aired.

13. Here:
http://www.cocktail.com/recipes/p/PinkLady1940.htm

I made it once though I substituted vodka because I don't do gin. I didn't care for it. If you like old movies, check out "Topper" sometime. They drink Pink Ladies all through the movie! :D

18. I know!
I have a book on vintage cocktails. There are a lot of weird ones. The Pink Lady I guess was very popular in the 30's and 40's.

19. You see
Graduating from High School and College in the 60's as I did I am always surprised at how conservative we have become. It is as though we are afraid of living life and afraid of making mistakes and afraid of adventure and different ideas. When I am teaching (college) I have the distinct feeling that I am one of only a few liberals in the classroom. This video would be considered way too liberal and dangerous by many today.
