I'm child-free for 15 hours New Year's Eve, so who wants to be my date???
My son has a sleepover at his church from 7 p.m. New Year's Eve to 10 a.m. New Year's Day, and my parents will probably pick him up in the morning for me. I love New Year's Eve, always have, and this year I won't have to deal with what to do about the kid, which will be nice!

A couple friends and I had planned a get-together, but one decided to go with her brother and sister-in-law to wherever they're going, and the other one's husband wanted to do something with her. So that leaves just poor 'lil old me! My church singles group has a small gathering planned at a member's house, but one word will suffice: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! Snore City!!!!! I actually left the last one before midnight because I couldn't take it anymore, especially after getting in an argument with a freeper Second Amendment Sister another member had brought, and then having to deal with other scattered freeper bullshit.

So, how about it, fellas, whaddaya say? Maybe we could even get a local DU group together. Of course, I'd still want one of you gentlemen (single gentlemen, that is, I do have SOME principles, you know)! to escort me, lol!

3. Hey, that wouldn't be any
problem, I think he's kinda cute myself! He's probably not into old gals, though, given that I think I'm about 14 or so years older than him (I'm almost 39).

15. I'm 38 - but I'm married
Besides, I live a bit too far from there.

You said "almost 39". I'm 4/30/1965. It was a good year indeed.

4. LOL!
Frankly, if I could get the green stuff together by then, I wouldn't mind at all!

BTW, did you get my picture, Dean? Just wondering if I managed to send it correctly.

6. Yes, I got it
And I must say, your son looks more like you than you do! When it comes to an uncanny resemblance to one's parent, Keifer Sutherland and Julian Lennon have nothing on Chris! :)

9. Yes, he sure does, doesn't he?
The first time I saw him in the hospital, I took one look at him and knew he was the real deal, that there was no danger of a switched baby or anything like that.

16. You should send him that picture that my sister took of you in DC
the "flipping the bird" pic!! I am serious, its a good pic and shows your fun loving spirit!! :hi:

I personally don't care to do anything on New Years Eve anymore.I am not big on holidays where the tradition is to get drunk since I don't drink. The last time I did anything on New Years was when I went to Times Square 3 months after 9/11. Once was enough for that let me tell ya.....

18. I'm glad you think that's a good
pic, Jonny, 'cause I don't, but then again, I don't like most pictures of myself anyway.

5. Oh, fine. Guess I could make the sacrifice.
But we have to talk about historical matters and your hands have to stay north of the border. :P

11. Clearly you've never really talked about the subject.
Things can get really steamy when you're talking about Thaddeus Stevens.

LH, if you don't think that sounds excitng, then you're not REALLY a historian! :P

17. Hey, I'd never heard
THAT one before, lol! My boss and I (he's a lawyer) get a lot of "Attorneys do it in their Briefs" jokes, and my parents (retired teachers) hear a lot of "Teachers do it with class" jokes, but I hadn't heard that one before.
