My dirty little secret--I read "My Turn" by Nancy Reagan
I figured I'd confess since there seems to be a literary theme to today's posts.

Anyway, I didn't buy it--got it out fo the library a long time ago. I tell you, if you didn't hate Nancy before, you will after you read her book. I mean, the bitch NEVER was to blame for any of the enemies she made, or any of the problems. It was always the other person's fault. She even blasts the great Katharine Hepburn, someone she didn't even know.

She is just so full of s**t.

1. Nancy had some scores to settle with that one.
She used Kitty Kelley as "get even time".

And WHEN is Ms. Kelley coming out with her book about the Bush family?

2. She got a few points from me for saying she didn't want Reagan on the dime
and knew he wouldn't want that either. I mean, she really did not have to say a word.

3. It was self-interest on her part about the dime--the inevitable comparison
to FDR would come out if the idea of replacing him with reagan got too far. Reagan would look pretty glum in comparison.

I will say this about her, though, she was quite smart, politically, and knew to keep the real right-wing whackos in her husband's administration at arm's length. She knew the American people wouldn't take such a far swing to the right.

5. I agree
She was smart and self-interested on the FDR dime. But without her it may have happened. I don't think they can try it again. I have to give it to her for that, whatever her reasons.

But I still can't stand the bitch

6. I wonder how much the Repuke leadership would have pushed for the
dime? Do you think they would have tried to block it for the same reasons as Nancy? Anyway, it probably won't come up again--now all we have to worry about is Mt. Rushmore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOATHES them, from my understanding.

8. You always heard about how Bar and Nancy never got along, and I
always used to blame Nancy. Now that we know Bar is a bitter, vindictive b**ch who spawned Satan, Nancy gets credit for disliking her!

9. I read
"It's Still My Turn" by Terry Sweeny. He did the best impression of Nancy on SNL.

10. It is not a sin - in fact, read lots of the opposition's works
Gives good insight to how the enemy mind works.

Just don't pay for it.

Either get it from a library, or, better yet, get it on half price day at a second-hand store, like I do.

Really wanna eff with Ashcroft's mind? Somehow acquire a library card. Keep borrowing Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, etc books, extending the borrow time as long as you can.

Then place a request for "The Blue Lagoon", "Pretty Baby", and "Lolita". Then never use that card again.

11. Yup, you gotta see what the enemy is thinking so you can be
prepared.
