2. 3 Bush changes - to 2000, 2003 methods, and "seasonally adj" - take care!
In general you must go to www.bls.gov, but they have really changed the presentation when it was easy to find the real data because the real data was good.

In our new world where peace and prosperity is replaced by "not as bad as last year" - and sold by the media as peace and prosperity, the Bush folks have been busy revising the past and coming up with new seasonal numbers.

Below is the true unemployment number (called U-6 and includes discouraged workers) of 9.7% versus Nov 2000's 6.7%, and the seasonally adjusted number employed of 130174 (pre-lim est) for Nov 2003 versus the Nov 2000 number of 132345, or a decrease of 2,471,000 jobs over the last 3 years.
