Anybody like scented candles?
I'm always looking for new ones to try. My all time favorite is Yankee Buttercream.

2. Merlot scented candles
My brother gave my wife an I some Merlot scented candles for Christmas a couple years ago because he knew we liked wine. Honestly, the smell is so awful it makes me want to puke. And we have to burn them every time he comes over. These things last forever, unfortunately. You've been warned.

5. I never heard of them...
but it reminds me of the cannabis-scented incense I used to burn in my room when I was in high school:)

3. They make me sneeze,mostly
Candle stores will actually give me an asthma attack. The only ones I can tolerate are citrus-y smelling ones, anything remotely flowery just kills me.

6. Yankee Sage and Citrus is a good one...
I know what you mean about the candle stores...so many scents fighting for supremacy.

7. Depends on the quality of the candle
Some scented candles make me almost unable to breathe. Others are fine. Candles with natural, rather than chemical, fragrances seem to be better.

I'm not crazy about fruity, overly flowery, or food-scented candles. When I was doing a low-carb diet thing, a Sugar Cookie scented candle stimulated major sweet cravings!

I like fresh scents -- fir trees, ocean, rain, etc. Also lavendar, lemongrass, citrus, etc. I tend to keep a stock of votives in the bathroom for those emergency moments.

8. Yankee Autumn Lodge
It kind of smells like a pipe. That's a smell I associate with childhood.

9. I don't like scented things or candles
Candles pollute the air, make your silver stuff tarnish, and can burn your house down. Scented things just pollute the air.

Bah, HUMBUG!

10. "Chocolate Chip Cookies"
*drool*

It really gives you the false hope that there are cookies baking.

(reminds me of the standup comedy of Mitch Hedburg who says "I'd like to get some cinnamon roll incense so my roomates can wake up with false hopes") ROFL!

11. Yes!
And I'm lucky enough to have a great connection. My sister and b-in-law run a small business custom-making scented candles. I can get dozens of scents and color combinations in a variety of shapes and sizes.

They are much nicer than many commercial candles, even the high-end ones. They have one scent called Egytian musk that I like, but there are too many faves to list.

This is their hobby business so they only make them for a select group of customers and a through the home party concept. I'll ask her about it, though.
