Anyone else watch "Tough Crowd"
last night?

I admit it, I've been watching it and I hated it at first, now though I find it hilarious.

Last night though they talked about Saddam.

Rofl!

Greg Proops and Colin were in beautiful sparring form last night.

They even discussed Halliburton and how it seems that the administration is "Wagging the Dog" with his capture while avoiding the Halliburton stuff.

I recommend you watch the rerun whenever it's on (I think around 7 ish), it was gold.

1. Hate it
Immediately change the channel after the Daily Show. He is a misogynistic, racist homophobe who isn't even funny.

2. I used to watch Tough Crowd, but not anymore...
Two reasons:

1. Colin Quinn is the least funny comedian in recent history.

2. He's a conservative PRICK.

Don't watch South Park, either.

It's upsetting.

/sarcasm

I think Tough Crowd is damn funny, even if I don't agree a couple times per show.

6. Exactly...
CQ may be a jerk... often.

In his defense though...

He always stocks guests with differing opinions and doesn't just have a roundtable of his personal ideals. He discusses various issues and isn't afraid to look like an idiot.

I do respect that. It's tough to get actual "fair & balanced" discussion. I think the only reason they survive is because it's "comedy". Much like TDS.

7. Guess we have a different
sense of humor and very different perspectives. I usually don't agree with everything that comes out of his mouth. I dislike Howard Stern as well.

Why would I watch something I don't enjoy? I'm not calling for a boycott or ban on him.

9. I didn't mean to imply it like that..
I was just saying that,

I don't find Colin very funny personally either. I hated him because he ruined SNL weekend update. :P

However, his interaction with his more liberal guests who have the wit to defend themselves is most amusing.

And that last night, they were in rare form and were most amusing.

I'm not saying you have to watch...

Wait..

yes I am!!! YOU WILL WATCH IT NOW!!!!!! :P

(just kidding :D)

5. Two reasons
I don't watch

1) Don't have cable.

2) Even if I did, I can't stand Colin Quinn. He was only occasionally funny as the SNL Weekend Update host.

Sorry, if you enjoy Colin, fine. But he just rubs me completely the wrong way.

12. Hate it.
Hate the right-wing slant, and I especially hate the tired, jaded, world-weary attitude all the guests seem to have. Hate that black guests don't get a bit more threatening when white guests make dirty unfunny racial comments.

Recently there was some really smug right-wing moron who weighed no less than 600 lbs. who affected a "gangsta" accent ans spewed a bunch of nonsense about his upbringing "in the hood". Does never getting off a couch in a living room that happens to be in a rough neighborhood count as growing up in the hood?

13. If Colin Quinn is a racist,
then why was he among those who gave maximum props to RICHARD PRYOR in Comedy Central's tribute to Pryor?

15. Love it
John Stuart and Bill Maher should go on Politically Incorrect. That would be a hell of a show. I like it a lot, and wish Quinn a long career. It's refreshing to see people rip into each other, race jokes, fat jokes, and shake hands and hug at the end. There's more to it than lowbrow stuff, too. Plenty of political philosophizing and ripping into public figures. Right wing, left wing, it's still funny.

Edited on Tue Dec-16-03 05:04 PM by edzontar
I hate him.

But I also saw a little of the show last night.

The guests were quite good, and one of them really shoved Quinn's freeper views down his throat.

17. Quinn is like a dyslexic Dennis Miller
conservative and not-funny, but even his supposed "learned" references logjam in his mouth--he's a disaster.
