Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore?

http://www.mrsmithmovie.com/PreviewClip.cfm

We start our theatrical run in St. Louis tonight. So far we have scheduled a week in each of D.C., Boston, and LA for later this year and are working on getting it to cities all over the country.

Skinner saw the film at it world premiere in D.C. and wrote this review: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Skinner/111

If you guys have any independent art theaters in your area that may be a good place for us to show the film, please post them for me.

3. We are doing theatrical distribution right now.

The film won the Audience Award at Silverdocs. Last year's winner of the same award was nominated for an Oscar. We are trying to take the same path. To do that we have to be in theaters and off TV for some time.

We will show it in May 07 on PBS as part of the ITVS doc series and begin selling DVDs after that (hopefully). This is all so new to me, we are just trying to make our way the best we can right now.

4. Thank you for thinking of me....
It was pretty bad around here, but we were lucky. Some others were not and it has been a challenge for the city to get help out to them.

I hope you are doing well.

I am trying to get the film a showing in Shreveport. I think my grandma alone would fill the theater with her friends.

9. Thank you, we need all the luck we can get.
It is really hard to get people to pay attention to an independent film.

6. i do wish Mr. Smith all the very best, and folks likely need his brand...
of self empowerment, it just seems that politics has become such an 'otherly' pass-time requiring these canned, preformed, blow dried players eh...

the very best to him & a nice film effort thanks :-)

11. We think the film shows what is wrong with politics by shining a light
on what can be right with politics. It is a very hopeful film.

10. Landmark is our partner right now.
They have been fantastic to work with. One of their film buyers has championed our cause and that is the only reason we are where we are already. There is a good chance we may end up at that theater.

12. The Freepers obviously love us....
We started pulling some really nasty quotes from our comments on the website not long after I posted this link here. They even reference DU.
