2. Earthquake; first movie to use "Sensurround" technology.
:D In reality, I go with The Towering Inferno.

7. Sorry, Evil... "Earthquake"
was the biggest POS to hit celluloid in the '70s, IMO. (Although as a child I was quite impressed that one of our local TV newswomen, Inez Pedroza, had a cameo.)

14. Actually, I hated Earthquake, too. I just like the "Sensurround" thing.
My actual vote went to The Towering Inferno.

5. I kinda liked the Core, but
It struck me as more addventure than disaster, since most of the film is deep inside the earth.

Reminded me of that old movie where they shrink and travel through a human body. What was that called? Anyway, yeah, it was fun. Ludicrous, but fun.

8. Airplane II - The Sequel
That movie was a disaster, wasn't it?

And the answer is: The Mayflower!

Just a thought sir.

I've considered that..there's got to be a better angle!

We don't have a tower sir.

20. Anyone remember the 80's British film "Threads"? About nuclear
holocaust? To me that is the scariest disaster film of all time. It made me make the decision right then and there that I would run out in the street and be destroyed rather than take a chance at living through it. Brrrrr.

21. Anyone seen the preview of "Day After Tommorrow"?
I saw it in the theater at "Master and Commander". Cities getting flooded, blown up by hurricanes, volcanoes going off...everything! It comes out in June. The makers of ID4 strike again.
