Lies and the lying liars who tell them: a fair and balanced look at school
Edited on Tue Dec-16-03 05:53 PM by Race4Peace
Any of you remember the fucking bullshit that happened when the kid punched me, I got punished and he didn't? Well here's some bull to add to it...

I was at the back of the bus trying to put my band instrument up, and when I turned around, there was no visible place to sit. I came to the seat I normally sit at(and I'm not pleased with who I sit by at all), asked the kid who didn't, asked nicelly, "This yo' seat?"
The addministrator who gave out the wicked punishment, yelled at me "GET DOWN HERE BEFORE YOU GET YOURSELF IN TROUBLE!!!!!" I went down the eisle carefully, and said that I wasn't trying to cause trouble(honestly, I wasn't). The administrator said that there were plenty of seats, and I said the fact that there were no seats near my instrument(didn't wanna be to far away if the idiots tried to do something to it). Then there was a hole where there was space for someone to sit, but that was where someone else normally sat. The administrator asked where my horn was. "AT THE BACK." The administrator told me to sit at the front. Then another hole opened upin the middle, and the administrator said "how 'bout siting by that kid with the headphones on?" "whatever works." Unlucky for me, the kid was a bit :crazy:/:dunce:

I don't mean to gripe on each day, but if you have it bad, too, just say it.

1. I am lucky that I generally keep my mouth shut in school
:) So the admins dont give me shit but I do know they give people shit. I had the "blessings" of dealing with warhawks today in philosophy fun fun ;) especially when they deny their biggest meme, that Saddam= behind 9/11.

14. Dubcek really
Most people don't have a clue who he is. I personally think he was one brave bastard, standing up to Moscow like that and trying to in his words put a human face on communism. Plus :D he was Slovak just like I am part.

2. There are at least a billion people worse off than you
RIGHT THIS MINUTE. That thought always makes me feel better, especially that time back in '96 when I was pulling dead airmen out of a building which was hit by a terrorist bomb in Saudi Arabia. I have to chuckle at your grief.

9. Dude, sorry, but are you kidding me?
http://clcpages.clcillinois.edu/home/bio564/worldview.htm

I recognize that people often speak without considering, but think about it. Just imagine for a moment that YOU are pulling your dead friends and schoolmates from the rubble.

As bad as you think you have it, just imagine the men and women out in Iraq getting killed and theri arms and legs blown off.

Or just consider people who live in the crappy part of town, who don't have acces to an instrument or anything else, who go to a crappy rundown high school with lead paint on the windowsills and asbestos in the air vents...

Read the link. Think about it. Understand life.

15. Nobody's saying it isn't harsh for you, dude.
But try and put things in some perspective. As BOSSHOG said above, sometimes considering just how good you have it (not necessarily taking pleasure in other's misfortune, but just recognizing that things aren't as bad as they seem) helps a lot.

10. You are right
When I "STARTED" pulling bodies and body parts out of that building, that was the worse.
