but the ice cream makes me sick since my gastric bypass (well, I can have maybe a bite of ice cream or two, but a whole scoop sends me to bed for the afternoon)

I think it's some combination of the sugar and the lactose.

As it is, I am the only person in the house who will eat this pie, so I'll probably have a slice or two, and carry the rest of it across the street to my neighbors.

29. I used to like saying "I like pie"

For some damn reason when my family went on vacation when I was a kid my parents told us to say "I like pie" when the first view of the ocean, mountains or some such landmark came into view. Kinda of a contest to keep us from getting terribly bored.

I have no idea why or if anyone else did something similar.
