I was a tender preteen in TN, visiting her for a week. She was living in bumfuck, and there were deer everywhere. She pointed at a block of salt and told me what it was about. Mmm. The early eighties. And I'd had experiences with the wide world, but I'd never licked a salt lick. I tried to convince her I was sophisticated enough not to have to.

But she bullied me. "Lick it, for Chrissakes". If I ever have a child, I'll refrain from such lessons.

coincidence. I bought a bad of frito's corn chips last night (wednesday) at work. I NEVER buy from the vending machines but I had a craving for them as soon as I walked by the machine and saw they had stocked them. I love 'em.
