128. I think I heard the title of that one before but never saw it!
The one I was thinking of was similar and had Andy Griffith and the father from Silver Spoons. Joel something or other. Can't remember his name. There was also a woman in the cast.

I think it's title was Salvage One. It may have been a copy cat or something. It didn't last very long.

But it wasn't about space garbage collection. It was about a man who built his own rocket to go into space to salvage old satellites, etc. He built the rocket out of parts from a junkyard.

After I wrote that, I went and checked to see if my memory was correct. Very close.

on this one and then if no one responds correctly by tomorrow I will reveal it.

It was a show owned and aired by NBC in the early 90's!

It was paired with the Pretender, and there were often cross overs.

The title of the show describes a specific job in the FBI.

The name of the FBI unit was the "VCTF" Violent Crimes Task Force.

What an amazing show. I don't even care that its forlulaic and perhaps medically unfeasible... the strength of House's wit and Hugh Laurie can carry the entire show.

and the second one is also wrong but close.

A Couple of Hints on the first one: The two cops had an informant whose nickname was Huggy Bear, and the show was produced by Spelling/Goldberg.

The second series I am thinking of, is by the same producer as Jag, and was sort of a spin off it. This show is still on the air. It's star once played a doctor with Aides on a quirky medical show.

The first one is sadly still incorrect. Another clue is that it was recently re-made into a movie.

Rockford Files was a great show too though.

Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 10:51 AM by Liberalynn
I loved the show during the first four and a half seasons. It is where I first saw Julian Mcmahon.

I stopped watching though after he left because I hated the storyline they chose to write his character Cole out.

Julian may have chose to leave but the writers could have come up with a much better farewell, and reunited Cole and Phoebe in the last episode.

I also preferred Prue to Paige.

265. I was hoping they would have just
killed Cole off when he was still human and good. He could have gotten killed trying to save the girls, but I guess they thought it might be repeating the Andy story, but then again its not like Charmed and other shows, have never repeated a plot line. LOL.

That or Phoebe could have lied to Cole saying she didn't really love him, and wanted him to leave,
so she could have played the heroine, sending him out of her life for his own protection.

Know it is silly but I really wanted their love and the goodness inside Cole to triumph. Good doesn't win often enough in real life so that's why I so root for it to happen in fiction. Plus I just have a huge celebrity crush on Julian Mcmahon and don't like to see anything bad happen to his characters. ;)
I'm prejudiced in his favor.

JMHO and I'm a nut cause it's just a T.V series, and fictional characters, I know. ;)
