Sylvester the cat ... WARNING! More kitty pics!
You asked for them, here they are! :bounce: :woohoo:

This is Sylvester the day we brought him home after his neuter. Looks pretty ragged, doesn't he?

Nothing a good old-fashioned cuddle won't help. :loveya:

Keep an eye on that cute meter ... it's about to break.

Please, Mom? Can I come in and play?

Just another pretty face. :loveya:

Well, he doesn't exactly love his new dog house, but he's getting there.

That's Satchmo talking to him through the screen.

The Abys are brave enough to go out in the KittyWalk while Sylvester's out there. The other two are still chicken.

That's all for now. He's eating us out of house and home, but that's fine with us. :loveya:

3. No. He's an outdoor kitty.
We can't have another kitty in the house. He was already living in the yard, but no one was taking care of him.

4. He's sweet, too.
:loveya: When Sophie hisses at him, he just meows back, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you."

5. His sweetness is especially evident in the third photo......
I wish I could scratch his belly.

6. He wishes you could, too.
He LOVES to have his belly scratched! The first time he did that, we weren't sure if we'd have a hand afterwards (some kitties are tricky that way). He's got a really funny cry, too. He breathes out really hard at the end, like, "meow huh".

9. Awww that's so cute....
One of my cats loves to have his belly scratched, he just flops on his side to indicate that it's belly-scratchin' time.

10. Four of ours like it.
Sabrina (the mother Aby) doesn't like it AT ALL.

You should show us a pic of your flopper. :loveya:

21. I scanned a standard photo, but the quality is very poor.
I have to invest in a digital camera so that I can post decent photos.

Once you get your digital camera, you'll be able to get more practice. Harleydad always teases me about "wasting film" with my digital ... I take dozens of pictures of the same thing sometimes. :D It makes a big difference when you don't have to worry about how many pictures are left on the roll.

Edit: Spelling.

7. Oh man! He's beautiful!
Except in the first picture -- he looks like he's one pissed off kitty!

He's a great looking cat, AM. I'm so glad you got to bring him home and keep him!

8. He's looking better every day.
It's amazing what a difference good food makes!

He wasn't exactly pissed off in that pic, but he wasn't a very comfortable kitty.

I'm glad, too, SG! A few days ago, I was wondering a bit when the others went on a hunger strike. I really thought we had upset the household. But that all resolved itself when I let him eat the food they walked away from. Now they're all happy.:loveya:

11. Awe... Thank you for posting these.
He's an absolute cutie. :)

So it appears that he is not allowed inside with the other cats. Is that a permanent situation?

14. You're welcome!
Yes, I'm afraid it's permanent. He was already an outdoor kitty and has been all his life, according to the neighbors. OK, so you can say, "I told you so" if I come back during the first snow storm and say we decided to let him inside (and not tell the land lord).

13. He's beautiful, AirmensMom!
I love that pic of him on his back. He looks like a friendly chap. Do you know how old he is? I'm not a cat expert, but he looks quite young.

Give him some scritches and a kiss for me, will you? :-)

18. Thanks, u4ic!
:hi: Yes, he's extremely friendly. And quite a "talker". :loveya:

We don't know how old he is, but the neighbor's boy says he's a year or two as far as he knows. He was treated as a feral rescue by the vet, so they didn't bother to look at his teeth to check his age. We're calling him 2 as of July 26 -- that's the day we trapped him. (Like we needed to trap him?) We think he's mostly malnourished, as he's getting bigger by the day.

Did you see the history of the whole thing? It starts here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=5419944&mesg_id=5419944

And continues here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=5426173&mesg_id=5426173

So this is part three of the saga. :D

I will definitely give him a kiss for you! :loveya:

23. Not jealous in the least.
And he doesn't try to come in when I go out. He politely steps away from the door until I get out and close it. He would probably like to play with the other kitties, though. You can't tell from the pics, but he's a lot bigger than the rest of them and it would be a very uneven match if they got into it.

34. Well, thank you, MissHC!
Satchmo usually gets VERY upset when another kitty comes around. So it's amazing that he's just sitting there looking at Sylvester.

How do you like that fancy KittyWalk? OK, it's not the screened patio we had in FL, but at least they can go outside now.
