7. It still looks cool and anyway...the turtles are still going, but where is
Vanilla Ice?

Well, he's not doing much, but apparently he did a concert in Atlantic City a few days ago. I feel dirty knowing that he was in the same state as me...and I live in Dirty Jerz.

Ninja Turtles was one of her very favorite shows when she was growing up, and she loves turtles to this day. Thanks, haruka!

3. OMG that's so badass
I was 5 when the first movie came out. I had already been a fan of the cartoon since I was 3.

I LOVED THE NINJA TURTLES SO MUCH.

This fuckin' rules!

5. I was seven when the movie came out. I had so much TMNT stuff.
Remember the cereal? It came with free Ninja Turtle cereal bowls for awhile. I had all of them. My mom threw them out recently. I never outgrew eating out of those bowls. I would totally buy them, if I found them.

9. That rules - I don't think I ever got a bowl though!
I was deprived! :(

My first action figure was the original Donatello. I made my mom draw pupils in his eyes because in the cartoon they had pupils and it freaked me out that the figure didn't.

I had like all the action figures, two sets of pajamas, a Leonardo dress up set, and God knows what else...

OH and the trading card set! Did you collect those? I remember when I was 5 I had surgery, and when I was in the hospital my aunt bought me a box of the cards, which contained 36 packs. I was able to find the elusive rare cards that had eluded me up to that point. The one perk of being sick. :D

10. I think I still have the cards in with my baseball cards.
A funny TMNT story...about three years ago, I was backpacking through Ireland. Anyway, I was the only American staying at the hostel in Dublin. It was mostly French & Germans staying there. I wore a TMNT t-shirt one day and suddenly all these French guys wanted to talk to me about the Ninja Turtles. Apparently, they're really popular in France, too. Who knew?

11. I had the bowl as well
from the cereal, I didn't like the actual cereal, so when my mom bought a box and after 2 months it was still sitting in the cabinet, some hell was raised.

12. It was basically Chex with marshmallows. What's not to like?
It was one of the few things I ate as a kid. I'm a weird picky eater now, but I was 1,000 times worse as a kid.

16. I was extremely picky and weird on cereal as a kid
There was basically only 4 or 5 that I would eat as a kid. I didn't like milk on my cereal because I couldn't stand when it got soggy, So I'd have milk in a cup instead to go with a bowl of cereal, and I couldn't stand when cereal had hard marshmallows (lucky charms, Hotwheels) either, which would of have soften it up if I had put milk on it. It's funny how when your older you see stuff you did as a kid and just wonder why the heck did I do that.

I have no idea where my Ninja Turtle toys went. I figured I'd find them with my GI Joes, but no such luck.

13. damn
GI Joes are worth a lot of money nowadays. I wanted to start recollecting them, but most places want like, 15 bucks a piece...just like old school star wars toys. The cheap end on old toys(to me at least) are the He-man toys, and Gobots...

I had to sell all of my TMNT stuff when i was 14. I lost my retainer, and my mother cussed me out, and made me sell some of my stuff to rebuy my worthless retainer...a retainer, I haven't worn in over ten years...

18. I'm just a big kid
I have a bunch of TMNT figures, Transformers, and Star Wars figures. The Star Wars ones are second generation but I have the Millenium Falcon and Bob Fett's ship. I also have a lot of the original TMNT comics, and the Burger King toys that were clip on badges. And last I have a set of animation cels from the cartoon, one of each turtle, April, Splinter, and Shredder.

That trailer looks great. I'm tired of these half assed comic addaptations, I want to see one that has the look and feel of the original comic without coming off cheesy. so far Sin City is one of the few that worked and that is probably because Frank Miller was actually involved with the production. Time Warner is just dumping the Marvel crap into the movie pipeline as fast as they can without any thought into what the final product will be.

19. Maaan, I always wanted GI Joes
I had all the Ninja Turtles, tho', including the Technodrome and a sewer playset! When I was like 16 I gave the whole lot away to the little brother of a friend of mine, which was a nice thing to do but now I kinda wish I had kept them. :D I still have a box of the trading cards, including the sticker cards that came in those horrible 'Green Ooze flavor' Hostess pies. I ate a ton of those corn-syrup bombs to get those stickers! I blame TMNT for me being a chubby kid, lol.

At least I was smart enough not to give away my MASSIVE collection of castle-themed Legos. Seriously, I have like a dozen castles, with all the little men and accessories in working condition. I let my nephews play with them but I won't give 'em away because sometimes I still like to play with them. :hide:
