Did I miss the Project Runway thread for today? **spoilers**
About time Michael got some kudos - I'm thinking he's going to make the final 3. Him, Kayne and Uli with Laura being the 4th person voted out.

I thought that was a great challenge but what the hell was with that space cadet outfit Bradley made? His icon was Cher, not Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie. I was so glad he was booted because the other guy I think has it in him to put some good product out there!

1. Bradley seemed like a fish out of water
I'm surprised he lasted this long. Michael is very talented I think he will be in the top three too. I didn't like Kayne's dress but it may have been the way that sheer fabric showed on TV.
I was thinking Ziggy Stardust too, either that or 50s SciFi

2. Well other than Vincent they have gotten rid of the hangers-on

oh and the woman who actually won last week after she should have been booted (name?) is reallly catching on but she is pretty one deminsional.

I picked Michael from the beginning.

Vera Wang and now Von Firstenburg???? :wow:

4. Angel is so predictable. Compare yesterday's dress with week#2
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 01:03 PM by LynneSin

Both have the same exact cut for the top, both have those ruffles along the bottom and both had those flower thingies she makes all the time. Only reason Angela won last week's challenge was that she had Michael & Laura on the team making sure she didn't fuck it up with a bunch of ruffles and flowers.

I predict that after Project Runway is overwith Angela will have a new career either creating bad bridesmaid dresses or streethooker wear

7. Yeah she did pick them well
Great team. They did everything and then stopped her from screwing it up.

3. My imaginary PR runway conversation:
One day you're in, the next you're out....

Michael Kors to Angela: "It looks like you went to a church bazaar
and bought your old granny's quilt and SPIT UP on it --"

Nina GarCEEEEEa: "It's not fashion forward!"

MK: "Then sent it off to Indonesian refugees to wear to the Tsunami
Ball!"

Nina GarCEEEEEa: "It's dumpy!"

5. Angela's an annoying little snot...
...but the dress she made was really cool.

I'm hoping Michael and Laura do well, they seem to be the most normal of the cast. I loved the smackdown Laura delivered on that obnoxious turd Jeffrey. I hope Jeffrey gets booted soon so I don't have to look at the nasty tattoos on his neck anymore.

6. Uli should have been in the top 3
I loved her dress last night but then again everything she's done is great!

10. But Uli is so nice and quiet
Same with Allison who I also like.

I'm sure the top three will be chosen for the "drama" factor.

16. Yes but unlike those 2 boring gals they got rid of
Uli and Allison have created some pretty amazing designs.

It's really more about the bottom 2 that they'll always go for the boring over the nut cases

9. michael did great, he was dead on and i could so picture Pam Grier
wearing that. I'm really glad he won and if i see one more black rosette thingy from Angela i'm going hork. I really hope Robert can make a comeback next week and Laura getting Hepburn was perfect.

12. I don't know why Robert is doing so badly
His first couple of designs were great. And I think he is really funny and nice.

I actually liked what he did last night. Except of the wrinkly fabric I liked the style and thought it really was an updated Jackie O look.

13. They pretty much said it was the choice of fabric
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 03:16 PM by LynneSin
If I were to do Robert's design I would have used something like a plaid pink wool for the coat and jacket with something lacy underneath that this time make sure the model takes the coat off

14. Do you mean Robert?
Remember he had chosen that turquoise fabric first but borrowed the linen from someone else...Vincent?

19. I did too...I thought it was a great Jackie O look. But the judges seem to
like to pick some of the weirdos...
I thought it was so funny when they said Vincent's was more Brady Bunch than Twiggy *lol*

18. I loved that! I thought she captured a 21st century Hepburn look
perfectly!

I didn't mind Angela's last two outfits; I thought she did a great job with an updated Audrey Hepburn thing...
And I like Robert too!

17. The Cher outfit
was horrible! I could have made that top...and I can't sew.

My picks for top 3 are Kayne, Uli, and Michael...with Kayne as the winner.

20. i really liked this episode
and the contest idea of of recreating fashion icons in a modern look. i hope they do it again.

it seems like there are better designers this year than last. they have a lot more potential whether they win on Project Runway or not. the attention they get just for being on the show should help them in showing off what they make off the show. and the show repeating on NBC doesn't hurt either in getting a wider audience.

does anyone know if they are doing more shows where they team up more this season than last ? it looks like it to me.

21. I'm glad I founf this thread!
I LOVE project runway. I hope I don't offend anyone when I tell you about a delicous blog called Project Rungay. The two posters are hilarious and have a lot of insight.
http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/

I like Michale's Pam Grier outfit and feel he has been ignored too long.

I want Laura to put on a blouse, her bony chest is gross looking. I thought her Katherine Hepburn look was unoriginal; looked just like something Hepburn actually wore!

Why in the world Vincent is still on the show is a mystery to me. He seems to have little to no talent.

Alison is sweet but unimpressive.
Angela is SO ANNOYING!!
Kayne is precious and may be a finalist.
Ulli has a lot of talent.
I want to take sandpaper to Jeffrey's neck. I can't stand that turtle look.

Robert is my favourite and they are picking on him! On the Project Runway site, von Furstenberg stood up for his Jackie O creation and said she knew Jackie and felt she would have liked the suit. nyah, nyah!!

Wednesday nights are my best TV night, thanks to this great show.
