Well, I'm apparently not very good at this girl thing
at least compared to some of the other lounge ladies. I don't own a single article of clothing that could be called girly (at best I could dig up something understatedly feminine) I haven't owned $250 worth of makeup in my whole life, I haven't got any perfume and I almost never carry a handbag.

Shit, my idea of dressing up is a fresh shave and conditioner in my hair. If I really go all out I might be able to locate a bra and panty set that matches.

I'm still waiting for that feminity thing that's supposed to kick in at puberty. And boobs. Still waiting for those too. :eyes:

2. Triple blade razor
And I don't pay extra for the pink one either. Like I said, not so hot at the girl thing.

8. Geez...even I have a pink razor.

Of course, I have about $250 worth of body care products. I mostly got it free though from working at the health food store. Product samples for management were awesome.

It certainly wasn't what I'd have picked to post on the internets, just what I had on at the time.

16. We've also seen her with...a PURSE!!
Wearing a DRESS, no less.

Don't let her fool you. She wears boyshorts, and despite the name, they're quite girly.

Normal people don't remember that thier mother is getting married in a few hours and walk over to Goodwill to grab something to wear.

I'm special. :dunce:

It's weird. She'll spend money on clothes and I go buy video games. But I'm a nerd like that, and she loves me for it.

12. Me neither.
My daily routine is as follows:

1. S,S,& S,

2. slap on deodorant so my pits don't stink,

3. brush my fangs so I don't knock people over when I breathe,

4. throw on jeans and a t-shirt to cover my nudity,

and out the door I go - watch out world!

I haven't worn makeup since I was a little cake-face freshman in high school, 20+ years  ago. I think it's terribly expensive, and if someone doesn't like the way my face looks sans makeup, then they can take their ass on down the road - fuck 'em!

19. Sistah!
I think I have a tube of lipstick around here some place; it's probably dried up by now. I own one dress, black and tailored, in case I have to go to court or a funeral. My wardrobe can best be described as clean, cotton, khaki and comfortable. My only concession to 'girly' may be that I like the feel of natural fabrics like silk and linen and I have some earrings and sweater pins.

13. I apparently used to be very good at the girly thing.
I had to dress is drag once is High School. It was a tradition that the junior and senior girls had a football game and each girl got a boy to be a cheerleader. We had to dress in drag for the entire day and then cheer at night at the game.

I was apparently very good at the girly thing. :P

I surprised a lot of people who didn't realize I was a girl until I spoke. It freaked out a bunch of people.

Of course, I had 7 girls show up at my home at 6am to girlify me, so I can't claim much of the credit.

15. LM, about the boobs . . .
Mrs. V. went through early life as a very skinny woman with nothing upstairs. One day around her fortieth birthday, she awoke to find . . . gifts on her chest. Amazing gifts. She called up her mom and said, "Hey, mom, guess what? The Titty Fairy visited me!"

You never know.

As for the femininity thing: it is how you feel and who you are. NOT your accoutrements or painting or grooming rituals. :eyes:

Be yourself.

Every now and then I just feel like a bit of a freak. Living with my hyper-girly sister isn't helping. I mean, the girl takes makeup with her camping. :wtf:

38. Camping? What, she thinks the bobcat will leave her alone if she's
made up?

I had a roommate in the dorm who stood before the mirror every morning before going to class for at least forty-five minutes. The last thing she did before leaving was to spritz herself with a Lauren atomizer. I once counted thirteen spritzes. Before that, I adored Lauren . . . . :puke:

supposedly being on the autistic spectrum i have a male brain and when i was younger, before it was politically incorrect to say so, i often had people say "you think like a man"

and i am still somewhat regularly accused of being a man on the internets

but anybody can buy a lot of product, it just ain't that hard -- and wearing a matching bra and panty set is just a matter of being properly compulsive/obsessive

no one needs to wait for boobs either, they can be purchased, we DO have the technology

22. MHO? "Girly" is a bit overrated...
...all pink and bling and impractical.
But I did get a sudden wish for something 'girly'...so I saddled up the sewing machine and made a very understated white-on-white peasant blouse...with LACE and RIBBONS.
I'm doomed.

32. I need to re-learn that
I've got a dozen patterns and two storage totes full of fabric that's just waiting to be turned into clothing. Unfortunately I've forgotten nearly everything I learned in Home-Ec about hems, sleeves, necklines and pretty much everything except putting the basic pieces together. When I get the time and money I'm going to go to one of the craft stores or community colleges and take a refresher.
