3. A Canon powershot A75 digital camera,
I bid for it and got it for $116. The LCD does not work and the stuff the buyer promised did not come with the camera which was wrapped in a newspaper and thrown in a cardboard box.

So far, no response from seller to my email.

2. I got a book that was not the edition listed and no longer current.
I complained to the seller, who did not reply. It wasn't worth the hassle of ebay's resolution process for a few bucks, but I left shitty feedback at the last minute when the seller couldn't retaliate.

6. No
It was just more hassle than it was worth for a used book that only cost a few dollars.

5. I got a piece of radio equipment..
... a HF transceiver to be more specific, that was not in the condition it was represented to be in.

I wrote an email, and the seller took it back and paid to have it shipped back. I found another one for a few bucks less, it was mint.

The only time I've been burned on ebay was a few months ago I paid $13 for a pocket knife and never got it. I sent a couple emails, they always answered and said they send "another" one, but eventually the user disappeared from ebay.

Oh well.

8. Yeah, the buyer is new, but he seemed like he really wanted
a good ebay rating. So far, he hasn't emailed me back. Does anything ever go easy? Cripes, I envision weeks of negotiating, or losing my $$ and all I want is to take pictures of mountains and kitties. Shitfuck.

9. You just never know...
.. the problem with new people is that they can walk away, get a new Id and start over. I never deal with anyone less than 10-20 feedbacks.

11. Well...
... 15 is a reasonable number. If it were $500, that would have been too low, but don't blame yourself for this, I'd have done it too.

Once I bought over $1000 worth of silver bars from a guy that had only a handful of transactions. BUT - I called him and spoke on the phone first - and he sounded good and the deal went off fine.

12. dispute it
through the seller first. upon failure of that through PayPal next. they won't help you because they're a bunch of crooks (I could rant forever about that) then through your credit card company as not as described. they will resolve it as long as you made a valid attempt to resolve with the seller and returned it or attempted to return it.

"...for only $15!!" or whatever, then he gets them and the necks are all warped, frets all buzzing, pegs busted, scratched, beat up messes where the pickups only 1/2 work x(

the accessories were sub-grade bullshit. Emailed the seller 5 times, not a single response until I gave him a BIG negative rating, all I wanted was a charger that stayed connected to the cell phone so it would charge. He wanted to go throught arbitration with me and I refused to take my negative comments back. I guess the comments were ERASED.

Went throught 53 pages of feedback, my feedback is not there, I bought my phone Nov. 2005, NOTHING. Avoid this guy:

All this seller looks for is 100% positive feedback, he ALWAYS blames the buyer when something goes wrong
