DU addicts check in!

I can't seem to get enough of DU so I spend way too much time here. Especially if I have homework to do. I spend my "free" time on DU. I'm such a loser with no life. Oh well, if I have to be addicted to something, I'm glad its DU.

My poor husband almost never sees me out of my computer room. the xmas shopping isn't done, the tree isn't up, xmas cards aren't addressed! Oh, this is so addicting, I wish we would hurry up and get * out of our white house so I can go back to having a life.

to get away from DU as a daily activity . . . I figure I can check in when something important happens in the world, but this monitoring the postings every day is just taking up too much of my time and is not really very productive . . . I love the discussions but need a little more balance in how I utilize my time . . . so I'm returning to my little woodshop next year, doing a little furniture refinishing and building some stuff for myself . . . I'll check in now and then, but if all goes as planned you'll see a lot fewer posts from me come 2004 . . . until it gets close to election time, that is . . .

Yeah, I'm an addict. I spend way too much time on this board. Ever page through the lounge, up to about page 15 or so, then start over to see the new threads on page one that popped up? Yeah, I think that's in the textbook for late-stage DU addiction. Circling through rooms, when that one's spent, go off to another room.

I can quit anytime though, honestly...it'll pass, it just a phase right?

Here there is this vast wide Internet and what do I do with most of my online time....spend it in the Lounge reading posts about Yaks and such.

I used to be a chatoholic, I guess I still am but I chat way less now, i make up for it by bugging DU.

this is one place that entitled isn't a dirty word. Being a middle age cripple with way to much time on my hands, has led to being a gigantic thorn in the repukes side.
When my old computer bit the dirt earlier this year, and it was days before I could replace it, going without DU was like quitting cigarettes, and anyone who has been through that knows just what I mean.

It is funny here though and the best news place around! "Yesterday I couldn' even spell 'Fair and Balanced' and today I are one", Billy O'Really once said, but I never heard the Geek! I was at DU avoiding the Bus?it!

I use DU every chance I can. DU is a place where we(all of us here, except the trolls) can make a difference in a lot of people's lives. We are working to improve the USA. It is us against them and we are gaining some ground and will become triumphant.

I think I have my first 1000 posts within 5 weeks. My posting rate has gone down but I still spend WAY too much time here.
