I've never seen the Pacific Ocean. I wanted to when I was in Portland, Or, but it is still about an hour away and I had no transportation, and not that much time. I've been overseas, but again, I think that was shorter trip than going to Alaska would be. I guess not, looking at the atlas. It was a seven hour flight from Minneapolis to Amsterdam, but my parents' trips to Alaska have taken 30-40 days and my trip to Europe only took 10.
