My mom passed away.
I'm glad I was there at the end. The doctors had told us it would be weeks,but she lasted only a couple days. There was not a lot of pain,and my brothers and sister where with her. Now we find out what the world is like without her.

I lost my mom a few years ago, and seeing her out of pain & at peace was good. The last thing to go is the hearing, so your mom knew she was surrounded by her loved ones. Hold on to that as well. Again, my sincere condolences.

A friend of ours just lost her mother too. Glad to hear that there was little pain. When my dad died, it was similar. Not much pain, just everything slowly started to shutdown. Take care.

I find that I remember all the best times, and it is very comforting. I know that's what she would have wanted. I got to be with her on her last good day, before the Alzheimer's really closed in, and she loved having all her sons and grandchildren around her.

The one thing I remember during the months after my mom died is that I realized I still had many questions to ask her, and many more conversations I wanted to have...no more phone calls, no more visits.

Remember what you she told you.

82. Sorry Swede. The world will be less rich without her.
A lot of people will notice that, not just your brothers and sisters and you.

But, all of her friends, people that used to see her at the market, people that you never even knew that knew her, will all miss her presence.

My deepest condolences for you and your family during this trying time.

88. I can sympathize, Swede.
My mother died in April. No matter how old we are, we're never prepared to lose our mother. After four months, my memories of her are starting to make me feel good because of all the time she was with me, not bad because she's gone. I hope your memories will help you down the road. :grouphug:
