Positive thoughts needed...
Edited on Fri Aug-11-06 09:42 AM by huskerlaw
My sister had a baby via c-section about a little over a month ago. Two weeks later she had emergency gall bladder surgery. This morning, she was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain.

We're not sure what's wrong. They're running tests and so far have found some fluid build-up behind the gall bladder incision.

She's really stressed out because she's breastfeeding the baby. He can thankfully take a bottle, but the formula makes him uncomfortable. So on top of her own issues, she's worried because they had to put her on drugs, so the baby goes back on the bottle.

Ugh. It's so not fair. She should be spending this time bonding with her baby. But there it is. We're hoping it will be something as simple as draining the fluid.

So if you all could send some positive thoughts her way, I'd appreciate it.

11. Update...
Thanks to all of you who sent positive vibes this morning.

Apparently, my sis still had one rogue gall stone that hadn't worked its way through her system. She has passed it, and she's doing much better. They sent her home a few hours ago.

However, now they're watching the baby closely because her doctor failed to tell her not to give him breastmilk yet. She's got a one month old baby who doesn't tolerate formula well, she's been in the hospital all day, and they don't expect her to feed the baby when she gets home? Assholes. They called her AFTER she'd fed him and told her not to. So...hopefully Andrew is ok.
