Paris Hilton bitten by pet kinkajou, Mideast peace deal reached at U.N.

Paris Hilton's pet kinkajou, Baby Luv, bit her on the arm Tuesday morning while the two were playing. She called her publicist, Elliot Mintz, at about 3am Tuesday and he took her to the emergency room where she spent a few hours at the hospital and received a tetanus shot.

Israel says plan is 'good'; Security Council to vote Friday

JERUSALEM - Israel on Friday began an expanded ground offensive in southern Lebanon after expressing dissatisfaction over an emerging cease-fire deal, government officials said.

Hours later, however, France and the United States reached a deal on a final draft U.N. resolution aimed at ending the monthlong conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Israel TV quoted Israeli officials as saying the new cease-fire proposal was “good,” and an Israeli source said there was a “good chance” Israel would accept it.

A French diplomat said the U.N. Security Council vote would go ahead whatever the response from Israel and Lebanon. The vote was to be held at 3 p.m. ET, according to the British foreign secretary.

Shortly after Israel began its wider offensive, a source close to the Israeli government said U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice telephoned Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to ask him if there was any room left for diplomacy. Olmert indicated he’d be willing to call off the offensive if Israel’s basic demands are met, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the private conversation.

1. at least you put the real news first, lol.
why does somebody call a publicist to take them to the hospital? So he can call all the newspapers on the way there?

2. Another triumph for Kinkajous for Peace
You do realize that the kinkajou incident served as the catalyst for the peace deal, right? I mean, what beter to bring the implacable enemies together than a moment of Paris Hilton-related schadenfreude? :sarcasm:

3. Okay, what is a kinkajou?
I had never heard of that creature until today. It looks adorable. Paris probably pissed it off with her endless, "That's hot." bullshit. :eyes:

Peace in the middle east. Something tells me that'll never happen. Sadly.
