I'm declaring my addiction to massage.
So, I'm on vacation this week and since I'm vacating at home, I decided to treat myself to a day at the spa yesterday.

I got a facial and a full body massage yesterday. Man did that feel good!! :D I still feel very relaxed. I could get used to that... massage oils and mood lighting and oceany sounds. Plus, that girl had a huge set of .... triceps. ;-)

She told me she used to do marketing and PR work. Nice switch. :-)

So, have you ever been to a masseuse or masseur?

1. I cried after my first massage
Our (female) boss got us gift certificate to a top spa one year. Included was a 1-hour massage. I stood in the shower afterward and cried -- found out later that's not abnormal.

Felt like a million bucks after that, though!!!

2. Yes, one of the reasons I did it
was living alone, I forget out nice the sense of touch is.

I don't get touched enough. :-( and I don't mean just sex, I mean all of it: hugs, hands, and so on.

It really is important. :-)

3. Deep tissue massage works better on my pain than
almost any painkiller. If I could afford to get a good hour and a half on a table twice a week I would be in much better health.

It's all wishfull thinking.

5. Me, I like giving and getting
Joined a spa that has a new (to me) business model. You pay $25/mo, and you get unlimited massages. 1 hr is $30, 90 min is $42.50. So naturally I've been getting a lot of 90 min massages lately.

Usually I give my masseur/se a 5 min backrub at the end--I get lots of compliments! And of course I give backrubs to friends, been doing that since I was 15.
