http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000AOX0F/qid=1071762073/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-7630539-3131063?v=glance&s=dvd

Just got my copy. Unfortunately there are no extras on the DVD, but it is pretty cheap!

Now Marry and Reproduce, already!

1. OMG
i've been looking for this movie for a while. Nobody has it, not even the really artsy coffe-shop style place up the street that rents cool movies. Awesome news.

I can't wait to watch the 15 minute fight scene on boxes of sunglasses.

3. It's been out for a month or so
I was just as happy to find To Live And Die In L.A. on DVD, and they included some deleted scenes, an alternate ending, and interviews with William Friedkin and the cast. Now I have no new movies to look forward to until I can think of another older movie I haven't seen on the shelves.

4. Isn't that the cheesy
Sci-Fi movie that has eerie parallels of today (i.e.-Guy wears special glasses that allow him to see what all the papers and signs really say, which is "Consume" "Obey" "conform" etc.) A friend of mine has mentioned it a lot since * stole the office. I've never seen it, but it sounds interesting.

6. Yes.
Cheesy? Okay, yeah, kinda. But then again, "The Green Mile" had a huuuge budget, and was just as cheesy, only a lot slicker.

"They Live" is a purer representation of what Carpenter wanted to say than most of the focus-grouped dreck we get today. I like films that lack polish, in a way.

5. does it contain...
that fight scene between Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David that was
lifted frame by frame from an old 'South Park' episode (the 'cripple
fight')?

;-)

8. Sorry, haven't seen much South Park
but I love the fight scene in "they live". Hilarious.
