How many times to see a really great movie

before you can't watch it anymore?

I've watched The Sting probably 27 times. I've watched Midnight Cowboy at least that many times. I've watched Sideways 23 times, probably.

I'm pretty much sick of all of'em.

What's the limit?

I can't watch a movie more than six times. It's why I don't buy DVDs, they're just not worth it.

Seriously, I love all three of those movies but haven't seen any of them more than six times. Frequency may play a role, too. I've seen Young Frankenstein at least ten times, but only once per year.

Generally, I try to not watch a favorite more than 2-3 times a year so that I don't get sick of it.

Some wear off sooner than others.

6. I've probably seen airplane and blazing saddles about 20 times each

and there are a handful of other movies that I've seen about as many times. With most movies, though, once is plenty :)
