Poll question: Project Runway Fans: Who should have been booted **Spoilers**
Edited on Thu Aug-17-06 10:20 AM by LynneSin
I personally think that they kept Vincent because he's kookily bizarre (Go shove a harry winston up your nose) over quieter Alison.

Yes, Allison's dress sucked last night, but Allison has been consistantly putting out excellent work. I thought Kayne's was the worst of the three and yet he got a free pass because, as Michael Kors even said, "He's been putting out quality work.

So seriously, how did Vincent not get the boot? Just about every week he's in the bottom 3 and his designs just suck above suck. And yet they kepted him and booted Alison.

So seriously, who else thinks Alison got screwed last night? If they can forgive Kayne for a bad dress then why not her too? Unless they just want to keep Vincent for entertainment purposes.

Who should have gotten the boot last night?

1. Vincent's interesting, but his work is costumey and poorly-made

I'd boot Angela before I'd kick him out. She lost me entirely round abouts the dog challenge. Her story ("an English art school teacher hosting a birthday party for the canine mascot of the French art camp she's teaching in") was almost as lame as the outfit.

2. But Angela has been putting out quality stuff for the past 3 weeks
Her butt got saved with that Dog costume outfit only because the other girl was completely boring.

I think Ivanka Trump summed up that dress the best "She looks like a Street Walker"

3. Yeah, Michael and Laura helped her out a lot on the one she won
But I thought her Audrey dress was fine. And her garbage dress surprisingly wasn't.

4. Her Audrey dress got the highest bid of all dresses sold
http://www.projectrunway.com

They put all the dresses up for auction and the Audrey dress got over $1.7k, even more than the dresses made for Miss USA.

5. Allison got screwed, plain and simple.

Vincent has been consistantly bad in his designs and execution. Last night, both Kayne's and Vincent's dresses were much worse that Allison's. But Kayne and Vincent make better TV than sweet, quiet Allison.

Ever since Santino didn't get the boot for his shitty Leiderhosen lingerie I have come to the conclusion that who gets kicked off is often not at ALL about the best or worst design on a particular challege, but about personality.

6. What little confidence I had left in PR judges I lost last night...
What little confidence I had left in PR judges for booting the obviously talented Malan was lost last night when they booted Alison.

At this point, I can't help but believe that the judges of Project Runway are being leaned on by TV executives to keep Vincent on because he is entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way.

Anyway, I think last night's episode is a perfect example of why the judging methodology on Project Runway needs a major overhaul... The fact that past work matters in some cases but not others is a major problem with the show. Past work should either matter or it shouldn't. If it doesn't matter, then Kayne should have gotten the boot, not Alison. If it does matter, then Vincent should have gotten the boot.

Just as an aside, I thought the guy with tattoos on his neck should have won easily. The winning dress was OK, but the clear plastic on it just looked like clear plastic.
