My teenage son just has phenomenal luck!
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 06:38 PM by Breeze54
This was just weird!
We were discussing the Patriots Pre-Game tonight and I asked him if he wanted to go.
He went thru this long explanation about ticket's being expensive and probably being sold out
and his friend is working etc, etc. I offered to pay for ONE ticket. Game starts at 8 PM.
The friend he wanted to go with has 'the car' and the license and had to work until 9 PM.
He hadn't talked to his friend at all today because we were home watching movies and he never used the phone!

Then not even 30 minutes later, after this discussion, his friend calls and invites my son to the game!
His parents bought them both tickets and the Mom is driving them there too!
They just left about 15 minutes ago! Talk about luck!! :)

:woohoo: I'm happy for him! He's never been to a live game!

1. Well, that would have been interesting, did he have any idea that
something like that might happen?

2. No, neither if us did! Usually all
the tickets are sold out by now, but I'm an optimist! ;)
I would've bought him a ticket but he said they're probably all gone by now.
It was just weird how it happened, the timing!
We kept seeing it advertised on TV and that's how we started talking about it.
Tickets are expensive and you have to get on a waiting list for them, I guess!
I hope they're having fun!

4. That is awesome!!!
I miss Gillette Stadium. Up till last November, I lived just a few miles down the road from there, and drove by it every weekday during my commute. It was amazing to see the transformation as they built the new stadium, watching it dwarf the old one. . .

and it was always great to see the news trucks lining up across Rte 1 every morning when they played a home game.

I am glad for your son and sure he's having the time of his life!!!!!
