Kick-Ass Kajun Texas Barbecue
Just got back from Miz t.'s family (on her mother's side) reunion in Wiemar, Texas.
35 or 40 of us.
GIANT inflatable water slide for the kids and (later) the drunk adults.
(NOT ME!)

Barbecued/smoked ribs, beef brisket, (cooked almost all night), Beer-Butt Chicken, kielbasa, Mexican chorizo, chicken chunks with a slice of jalapeno wrapped in bacon, wild boar schnitzel wrapped around mozzarella, spinach, bread 'n butter pickled jalapenos, and all that wrapped in bacon.
A Carnavorial Feast.
A Cholesterol Delight.
I took a double dose of Lipitor before wading in.

2 kinds beans.
2 kinds potato salad.
Lemon meringue pies, coconut cream pies, chocolate cakes, brownies.
Whew.

Did I mention the beer and whiskey?
Plenty.

Just a damn major 8 hour pig-out and a REAL good time.
All followed by a hootenanny.
Guitars, banjos, mandolins, vocalists, and yours truly on the M. Hohner Echo-Harp (harmonica, keys of C and G).

Pass the Alka Seltzer.
;-)

3. Shiner, Texas.
The home of Shiner Beer.

Shiner is very close to Wiemar.

I have family living in all the little towns in the area.
