Nancy Grace DOESN'T CARE!
So, we don't even know if Karr is guilty of anything, and yet Nancy Grace says she DOESN'T CARE if he was set on fire by his mother when he was 2 or so.

The bitch doesn't really care about victims. She only care about her big daddy, the state. Seems she is always on her knees for big daddy.

25. Amen
I am not sure when being a liberal started meaning defending the likes of pedophiles. She couldn't say enough nasty things about that disgusting piece of shit to please ME. If I was hosting her show, you'd hear something more along the lines of..."I hope they cut Karr's balls off, shove them down his throat, set him on fire and let the vultures feed on his sick, vile remains.

Nancy Grace is just a TV host. It's the pedophiles who aren't MY friends.

32. Being a liberal means defending the Constitutional rights of ALL citizens.
Does Nancy ever apologize for her depraved, billious slander
when one of her hate-targets is proven to be innocent?

Or does she just jump to another target and redirect the corrosive
venom of her psychotic "on-trial-equals-GUILTY" worldview?

We all know the answer.

56. Patsy Ramsey was at a minimum guilty of whoring her child
What she did with her was a form of child abuse in exploiting sexuality in such a young child. That was disgusting.

The fact she died doesn't change that.

60. Only a pedo could think that was "sexy."
Sheesh, she was only six! There was nothing "sexy" about it. Are you saying every parent who enters a child in beauty contests are pedos? That's ridiculous. Whoever killed the poor little girl is to blame. No one else is.

62. HUH???

If you can't see the sexuality aspect of what JonBenet's stage presence was then I don't know what to tell you. Watch those tapes and tell me her expressions, nods of her head, the way she walked were not coached to be suggestive. That's what I think is disgusting. Young girls in these contests should act like 6 year olds, not adult women.

I am not saying people that put their kids in beauty contests are pedophiles and how you made that leap is beyond me. Some of them however are pushing sexuality on their kids way too early - that is my issue. A six year old girl should not have to bleach her hair, wear makeup, walk suggestively, give those little sexy looks etc. They should be allowed to be kids.

And of course, whomever killed this child is to blame for her death - regardless of who it was or how it happened.

65. I'm inclined to agree with you.
Those tapes of JBR were disturbing to me and very sexual. No mother should have her child act that way and it sure lead to the child being killed. John M. Karr has serious problems but wishing he had died in fire as a baby is sinful.

63. That's an AWFUL broad brush you got there.
For the record: YES, it includes Mrs. Ramsey.

And the few folks talking trash about her are HARDLY a majority
of DUers, so you shouldn't act like they are.
And spare me the "we hate uppity women" attack.
That's VERY insulting, and has no basis in fact.
It's the FREEPERS who fear strong women; moonbat Liberals
like me tend to have the OPPOSITE reaction.

Admiring Nancy Grace for what she says is little
different than the Freepers who admire
B*sh because he "talks tough." It's the same triumph
of base emotionalism over critical thinking.

I DO NOT dislike her because she "doesn't always say sweet, sugary things".

I dislike her because she's a slanderous, hate-mongering sensationalist
who's narcissistic sociopathic displays pander to the WORST elements
of human nature.
I dislike her because she blithely harms innocent people to
feed her ego and her wallet.
I dislike her because she is bottom-feeding SCUM, and PROUD of it.

64. Say mean stuff all you want.
I could care less, and I never convicted Patsy. And how do you know he's a pedophile? Because the news told you so? That's the problem!

If he's guilty, the courts will convict. What Nancy disGrace says is irrelevant to any conviction, but it is relevant to our Constitution and Bill of Rights. She is a good argument against pre-trial publicity.

The point is, she doesn't care about victims. She doesn't care about someone who was set on fire when only 2. She didn't even go into her phony, condescending "victim" voice and snap out of it at commercial time.

54. Who the hell is defending a pehophile?
Separate the 'he killed JonBenet' from 'He's a pedophile'.

Until the legal and psychological process is done regarding the murder NO ONE can assume he did indeed murder her. Personally, I don't think he did - I think he's a mental case.

Expecting the process regarding the murder to finish has NOTHING to do with the pedophilia issue. I believe that's most people's issue here but your emotional response to the other isn't letting you see that. Accusing Liberals of defending a pedophile on it's own is insulting.

Blast him all you want regarding the pedophile issues but keep the two separate for now.

38. For one thing, she isn't always right.
For another thing, she tries to try these people on her own, no matter the facts.

She seems like she doesn't give a shit about details, she just KNOWS that anyone accused of anything is guilty.

Sorta like, "If they aren't guilty, they wouldn't have been accused and put on trial".

And besides...

You APPLAUD her?

What's to applaud?

She attacks defendants.

What's so admirable about that?

And she says sex offenders are bad?

No shit.

But what is so remarkable about her position.

Nancy Grace takes the easiest positions on every issue.

She isn't deserving of applause.

She is pathetic.

8. I recently watched all of her show for the first time. I had watched the
previous show/trial before her and knew about the subject for the day.

When it was her turn, it was OBVIOUS she had not watched the previous shows or read what was happening - some kind of update about what was currently going on.

They brought in a couple of the previous anchors who were talking knowledgeably about the subject and it was even worse - comparing her total ignorance on the current topic with their insightful comments.

I have never watched her since - just a minute or two here or there - because she is uninformed about the subjects. Plus I just don't like her. She is weird. Why she is on two channels is above me. Somebody must like her.

24. a lot of children who murder are victims of sexual violence
and sexual abuse. Cody Posey is one recent one that comes to mind. They are not 'little monsters' they are products, usually, of a violent environment and they do not have adult minds. Based on her habit of fabrication and sensationalism about her own history, it's obvious Grace is just playing to people with a persecution complex. Every once in a while I agree with her but most of the time I find her shrill, hysterical, and nauseating.

Dark Corners
On the Web, Pedophiles Extend Their Reach
By KURT EICHENWALD

At first blush, the two conversations — taking place almost simultaneously in different corners of the Internet — might have seemed unremarkable, even humdrum.

In April, with summer fast approaching, both groups of online friends chatted about jobs at children’s camps. Did anyone, one man asked, know of girls’ camps willing to hire adult males as counselors? Meanwhile, elsewhere in cyberspace, the second group celebrated the news that one of their own had been offered a job leading a boys’ cabin at a sleep-away camp.

But participants in the conversation did not focus on the work. “Hope you see some naked boys in your cabin,” a man calling himself PPC responded. “And good luck while restraining yourself from doing anything.”

The two groups were made up of self-proclaimed pedophiles — one attracted to under-age girls, the other to boys. Their dialogue runs at all hours in an array of chat rooms, bulletin boards and Web sites set up for adults attracted to children.

And worse, whoever killed her might kill a child again.

But the media speculation and trying the case in the media does no one any good. It looks like there was so much speculation and suspicion on her parents, that the real killer got away.

We won't know anything until after the trial.

But how can someone claim to care about victims, especially child victims, and not care if a child was fried at age 2?

33. Nancy Grace is a liar, and hates our justice system.
Liar:

She lied over and over again about the murder of her boyfriend.
Lied about the perp, lied about her relationship with her boyfriend.

And she has this "Guilty by accusation" attitude.
Remember the "runaway bride" fiasco?

She had the woman's fiancee tried and convicted in her eyes, of murdering her.
When the woman turned up safe and sound, having run away, Grace went dead silent, and to this day refuses to even mention the case.

Just look at what a harpy she is:

From Publishers Weekly

"Grace became a prosecutor after her fiancé was murdered and claims to have achieved a 100% conviction rate. A political shuffle cost her that job, but God, she believes, led her to the airwaves to continue her battle of good against evil."

Objection to Nancy Grace, June 13, 2005
Reviewer: Tim Roberts (Denver CO USA) - See all my reviews
This book is full of lots of raw emotion directed against defense attorneys, celebrities, judges, juries and lots of others. The pattern to it is that the emotion is directed against those either who Nancy Grace thinks are guilty or who don't think that Nancy Grace does. The book tries to very loosely offer a plan to make the criminal justice system better, but the plan is ill-defined and weak.

Her objections, summarized by me, are:

- She wants tighter controls on the behavior of the defense.
- She doesn't seem to like the jury system at all
- She wants to re-define downward the standard for guilt. Rather than prosecutors having to prove guilt, the prosecutor would be allowed to make a circumstantial or emotional case for guilt.

She spends a whole lot of time attacking defense attorneys in the book, but its not really credible because its a one-sided attack where she is blind to the possiblity of misconduct by
prosecutors.

The problem with the book is that Nancy Grace is blind to her own faults and her own behavior. She is critical of 24/7 News coverage of trials, but doesn't deal with her own large role in that coverage. She is also blind to the problems in her record as a prosecutor.

Since leaving the prosecutor's office, Nancy Grace has been sharply repremanded by three different appeals courts for unethical and illegal behavior while she was a prosecutor. Her behavior was called illegal by every judge on the Georgia Supreme Court. Georgia is not exactly a friendly place for criminal defense and the lengths the court went in calling out Nancy Grace for ethical violations was very unusual.

They said she:

- Misrepresented facts to the trial judge so that her out of state witness could access the defendants home without the knowledge of the defense. Her witness gained access by breaking down the front door. For good measure, she subsequently also entered the defendants home with CNN cameras.

- Outright misrepresented the testimony of witnesses (falsely indicating in her closing argument that a defense witness had not disagreed with an opinion of the state).

- She inserted false information regarding hearing dates into a court proceeding to gain an advantage.

- She repeatedly ignored the instructions of the court. For example, she made multiple references to issues in her opening statement that the court had ruled (previously) to be inadmissiable.

- She failed to disclose a romantic relationship she knew about between two of her witnesses to the defense. She deliberatly held back her full witness list until the start of the trial.

For those interested, the case was: Carr v. State, 267 Ga. 701, 482 S.E.2d 314 (1997). Its a very detailed case study in how Nancy Grace abused her power as a prosecutor and how she operated without any real sort of ethics.

The court summarized her conduct in really harsh language:
begin quote -

Our review of the record supports Carr's contention that the prosecuting attorney engaged in an extensive pattern of inappropriate and, in some cases, illegal conduct in the course of the trial.

end quote -

This isn't one bad judge, its the entire very conservative usually pro prosection Georgia Supreme Court giving that opinion.

Its also important to remember that the person involved is free today only because he was rich and had the money to hire the lawyers to fight back against what she was trying to do. Most people would have ended up in jail for the rest of their lives.

Now you can choose to think that Nancy was right in this case and that somehow the entire court system of a state is so corrupt that it is misrepresenting the facts to free a man in a corrupt manner. But if you step back from that, your left with a prosecutor in Nancy Grace whose record of abuse in court is horrible. They didn't say sort-of illegal or maybe illegal, they said illegal.

Nancy has nothing to say about this. Since she doesn't participate in any forum that she doesn't control, nobody really has the chance to ask her about it. And this isn't her only problem with an appeals court.

This is important because it shows the big flaw of the book: hypocrisy. The book gets three stars because its a very useful book to read to see the dishonesty and maybe even self-deception that is behind Nancy Grace. The legal system does have ethical problems and problems with the media. But its not just defense attorneys, its prosecutors too. Its also almost surreal to see Nancy Grace of all people object to the media culture of 24/7 surrounding trials.

Like a criminal, she blames the system for her own trespasses. She terrorizes the very foundations of what makes this country great.

51. I've only seen her twice, and both times she asked attorneys
if they weren't "ashamed" to be providing representation for criminals.

Huh?

/Glad I don't have cable, and only have to hear that awful voice in the gym or in airports.

53. How odd to be angry at a TV host
Wouldn't it make more sense to be angry at the fact that this guy was hired to teach small children again and again and again and again and again?

I hate Bill O'Reilly, but genius that I am, I just don't watch him! It's amazing how well it has turned out!

58. So if we ignore them...
... the Constitution isn't really getting flushed? If we ignore BushCo, there really isn't a war in Iraq and he isn't flushing the Constitution either?

Read the case for yourself: http://www.lawskills.com/case/ga/id/1919/

The prosecutorial misconduct section is about 3/4 of the way down and in footnote 5: "We wish to register our stern disapproval of tactics which give rise to the appearance that the prosecution, by act or omission, has attempted to subvert or circumvent the right of an accused to have reasonable pretrial "access to evidence," , as that right is protected by the Georgia and U. S. Constitutions, the statutes of this State, and the Uniform Superior Court Rules. Bentley v. State, supra."

If I lived on the beach, maybe, but there's no sand around here to stick my head in.

55. Why should she?
He's an alleged murderer, him being set on fire as a child isn't relevant to anything. She does care about the victims, her show is about catching criminals.

66. alleged murderer
Exactly. And because he is an alleged murderer he cannot have suffered severe child abuse. What would she be saying if it were someone else who was almost burnt alive? True, it would be irrelevant during trial, but disGrace isn't a judge and isn't on a jury, so she could show some compassion if she was capable of empathy.

But she USES victims for her own ends, just as she did when she was a prosecutor. She's narcissistic and incapable of any real empathy. It's like those who rejoice when a man has boiling oil poured on him when he's asleep. disGrace uses the law the justify her sadism.
