30. MOI????
Not me!!! Hmmm, let's see, he got up around 7:30 not sure what he did, I was a slug and didn't get up until 9!!! Of course he kept me awake three nights this week with his coughing and snoring :( then he went and got his hair cut, came home and we went to the nursery, where I bought five new Hosta plants. I planted those, while he cut the front and side yard. I was still digging when he went to the dump to drop off the grass clippings. He got home and I was still digging...he supervised with a Gin & tonic in his hand, while I WAS STILL DIGGING!!! then I wore him out...he cooked dinner, I cleaned it up. Beat his ass in cribbage, and he went to bed with his sorry tail tucked behind his ass! LOL!! God my back is sore from all the DIGGING & PLANTING!!! can you come up and rub it for me?? I'll make you butterscotch cookies! :*

But I love matcom news! Posted something the other day, an article from the Chicago Tribune about foie gras being banned here. Thought it was something your husband had missed...and since I am in the Chicago burbs...figured I should do it in his absence.

Turned into a flamefest and got locked!

Yeah, it started an unexpected flamefest.

:eyes:

I posted a news article from the Chicago Tribune without comment. I thought it was damn funny. And my nephew-in-law (the triplets' father) is executive chef at a fancy Chicago restaurant. He does not like foie gras and has no problem with the ban...though many places do and are serving it right and left.

The moral is....you never know what might start a flamewar here.

you have to give some credit to Ahh-nold for banning it. Some of us do believe it is cruelty to animals and downright unnatural to expand a duck's liver to 10x its normal size just for fancy food. I didn't partake in the flamewar earlier, but I can imagine. :eyes:

48. Depends
Saturday nights it's early. Tonight my page went 45 minutes ago (8:55) but I'm waiting for the first football game of the season (I'm doing preps tonight). Tomorrow it'll be more like 12:25. Monday, about the same. Usually between 11-12:30. West coast games get us too, but not as bad as it could be.

Tonight was even earlier than usual, though.

58. That is what I usually do, but
last night I found myself literally falling asleep in the middle of posting a reply. I could not get my brain organized enough to remember what I was replying to even after reading the OP. So, I decided to hit the sack.

The reason I didn't sleep in today was that I woke up dripping wet in sweat. It was so hot in here. I could not believe it. My A/C is acting up. Not sure if it needs Freon or if it just overheated. Even though it was only 90 degrees here today, it felt way hotter to me, even with the humidity low. I still haven't completely gotten that whole humidity debate. I mean I think its really the heat, not the humidity. I find it hot on the days they say the humidity is "comfortable" and low. I find the high humidity days more bearable.

65. Hmmm,
sounds like it is time to check the filter on the A/C unit. Pull the filter out and give it a good vacuuming. that should make a difference. If not, time to buy a new A/c. My in-laws live in NC, in the western part of the state. Up in the mountains and they still get the humidity. I live in Mass and the humidity can get up there. Watch the dew point, that is the killer. Thank God it is only 59 tonight! Great sleeping weather.

76. You mean the intake filter that keeps so much
dust and stuff from getting into the motor? I changed that like 4 days ago and do it pretty much every month. You are probably right about the A/C unit needing either work or replaced altogether. Right now, it is working like a charm though. I guess it is because the sun has gone down and the current temperature is only 67 degrees here in the central southern part of the state. Either way, I gotta figure out a way to deal with it within the next few days.
