Old picture thread
This was my Granpa Irv, ww2 veteran, plumber and one of the nicest people i've ever known, he was a gentle soul and a big old liberal. Granpa died almost 2 years ago now and i miss more than i can say.

This is one of my favorite pictures of him, it's was taken in 1948.

2. WHOA!
I wouldn't get in that thing for any amount of money in the world.

A helicopter pilot once described his vehicle to me as "a million parts all moving in different directions with the sole intent of killing the pilot". This didn't make me feel very good, as i was going up to make a skydive at the time.

3. He flew those
and some troop carriers. He went on to get his private pilot licenses (single and twin), his instructor's license and a few others. He was a jet engine engineer during his career.

:hi:

5. Ok, not that old but
Here is my mama and pop in 1961. As you can see, my mom is always having fun and that's what I got from her. My dad looks like a vampire and that's why I love blood.

11. My dad, 5th from the left bottom row.
16 years old, paratrooper WWII. Lied about his age to get in. I found this photo by accident online. Have never been able to find it again. He's been gone since '77. Tough bastard.
