(yeah, I'm bored. And borderline pissed off. And need to be distracted from something else as well, but....)

5. It is. I haven't had one all summer
And it's probably my favorite fruit. It's a free stone, too...the meat comes away from the pit and it's red in the middle.

I'm in heaven.

4. a yellow one or a white one?
a peach was going to be my snack tonight, but my blood glucose was too high so i'm skipping it

so - yellow or white?

oh, another question: can you stand the fuzz? to me biting peach fuzz is like running my nails on a blackboard, or hitting a filling in my tooth with a fork

11. Yellow freestone
I looked at the white peaches, but...

I don't mind the fuzz most of the time, actually. It's not my favorite part, but if it bothers me I just peel it. I'm at work now though, so peeling is out of the question.

If it doesn't run down your chin, you're not doing it right.

44. I more or less pictured it running down between the rise of your firm
clavicles... :D

Which is why you should really get naked before eating a peach -- so much less to clean up.

And this brings me back to that whole picture thing...

48. Not a question, but a comment
We have a peach tree (started years ago by my Grandfather throwing his peach pit in the garden) and if we don't get a late freeze we have peaches up the ass. They fall and will bonk you on the head if you aren't careful. There are so many peaches that it smells like a winery for all the fermenting peaches on the ground. Of course, there are plenty to eat!

49. When I was a kid, we lived in Bel Air, Maryland for a while
The thing that I remember the most about it, well, except for all the horses (I was about ten at the time...pretty typical), were these two peach trees at the edge of the yard. I'd sit up in those trees for hours, making a mess but god, they were good.

And yup...peaches everywhere. Baskets and baskets and baskets of 'em.

*sigh*

55. How I wish I had a ripe, juicy peach to eat..........
We had two trees in our back yard in NoCal (Livermore for those of you who know the state).

Every year one tree would bear a lot, and the other one wouldn't....

We always had more than we could eat.......

They need to ripen on the tree.....otherwise they don't really get any sweeter......

*sigh*

I miss them sooooooo much.......

But.......nectarines are almost as good!

Enjoy your peach, sweetie!

59. Peggy, I had a peach once in Napa Valley.
Got it at some deli on the main road there that all the tourist guides tell you to stop at for lunch.

Freakin' thing was HUGE! Bigger than a softball, I swear.

And eating it was heaven. Juicy, tasty... just incredible. To this day, whenever I have a really good peach, I think back to that one, and want to go back to Napa Valley.

Here's to Cali peaches!!!:bounce: :bounce:
