Man Used Snake To Attack Neighbors

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Police said a man whose pet snake was used to attack a St. Augustine neighbor was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.

Police said and argument between two men started when Richard Birnberg's girlfriend supposedly chased the neighbor around with the snake, and the neighbor didn't like snakes.

When the neighbor grabbed the snake and threw it on the ground, Birnberg was infuriated. That's when, police said, he threatened his neighbor with a knife and then beat him.
