My First assignment for my Creative Writing Class....
To be… Or not…. Christopher Green

Too secure, she was, to take that chance,
Even though the air dripped Romantic.
He, on the other hand, was priming the pump,
With words of love, longing and light lust,
Looking for that which was never quiet there.

She laughed, hair thrown back in wanton ways,
Acting as if she never once realized the effect.
“We’re friends, that’s all” she was quick to say,
When those around her would ask her why.
And all he dreamed was for her
To think beyond today, ask and answer,
One day....
Why not?

1. This is excellent, Chris......
I was hoping you would post it....

I did want to read it, and forgot to ask ...

Looking for that which was never quiet there.

Did you mean to say quiet? or quite?

But I really like this!

You have captured his longing very well....and her spirit as well!
