just watched spike lee's: inside man, great take on a familiar theme...
he even went so far as to reference 'dog day afternoon' knowing full well the audience would be hip http://www.insideman.net/index.php still great stuff, very stylish filmically, great tension & release = a spike lee joint

Great take on a coming of age story.

The man's a genius.

6. My favorite is "Do the Right Thing."
I know that's not everybody's favorite, but I loved the way he set Danny Aiello free of what could have been a very stereotypical role.

One of the things that striking about Lee's movie is that everybody is really alive down to the last detail.

He is one of the greatest filmakers there is.

Malcolm X will always be my fave Spike Lee film.
