Does anyone know how to remap a keyboard in windows?
I use a Mac primarily, but I have a specific web app that will only run under Internet explorer running on a Windows machine (Active X controls, and if I could find a payroll company that had a Mac client, I'd be on it faster than * on a pile of cocaine. Alas, not.). I have a MacBook, so this isn't a big problem. I'm running XP Home.

But Windows uses the control key + other key for actions, and I am used to using the Apple key + other key for actions, and since I'm on the Windows side of the machine only about once a month, I don't want to screw up my typing style. So I want to reverse the mapping on those two keys under windows.

Of course, I'm an utter Windows idiot; after five years of not having to tech support every bloody little thing, I've forgotten how to do most of that kind of thing.

Any help?

1. Are you running XP on the MacBook with BootCamp?

2. Yep. It's doing pretty well, so far.
No major problems; it did have a video driver failure after waking from sleep a few days ago; the screen was highly not happy, but it rebooted fine.

I will say there is a problem with the machine, but it's a firmware problem, not a software or hardware issue. It needs its PRAM reset sometimes because it will fail to boot into anything (or it loses its video and audio drivers, meaning that it is essentially non-functional); this is a known issue that is supposedly in the works for repair, but having tested it extensively, I'm almost certain it is a firmware issue; it is definitely NOT a hardware issue and it's not software since we have other machines running OSX .4 without a problem like this one.

I've had it not quite two months, and I'm really happy with it, even though I'd been a fierce opponent of the Intel plan. I will happily eat any crow that anyone will serve me over that one.

3. You are probably better off posting at a place like macnn.com.
I can't help, but over there someone should be able to.
