Such a long flight and I fly with 5 kids. Once we are wheels down at Kahului, the joy begins!

15, 17, and 18 years old. I've known them since they were born and these three make my heart happy and bring me absolute joy!

I love to take something broken and get it going again. Same thing with programming. I love to find a problem and write a program that comes up with the solution.

I now have two Brussels Griffons, this little guy and my baby, Meneken, who is my sig. I never thought I was a little dog person, since my breed is cockers, and I adopt from rescue. But I was offered this dog and couldn't turn him down. I'm not used to puppies, since I adopt older dogs, and he has been chewing on my arm, LOL, but he's so cute, with such a sweet temperament, that I have no regets... Meet Jack!:loveya:

But I have always adopted older dogs, so this little guy is an anomaly with me. And, I agree, he is awfully cute, so can't do much wrong with me...:loveya:

But he's awfully good for a puppy, very smart and learning fast, with such a sweet nature. I got him a squeaky stuffed bunny yesterday that he's taken to carrying around by one ear, LOL! And he's especially cute when he's sleeping...;)

That was the signature music of my rather progressive women's college, back in the '70s. A full scholarship was available to anyone who could play the bagpipes, as long as they had the grades to be accepted. When I hear it, I still get choked up...:P

that the Irish gave the Scottish the bagpipes as a joke, but the Scots haven't caught on yet ;)

But it still chokes me up...;(

BTW, my Irish relatives were from County Kilkenny and County Mayo. :-)

Life is short. I cherish those we're lucky enough to be friends with.

The other thing that brings me absolute joy is any time at all with my young friend E. He's two. A hug from him makes me glad to be alive.

There isn't much room for my hubby, but I've been married for a looooooong time.

During the night I could expect to have Samantha curled up against the back of my legs, Wally attacking my toes, Lucy sleeping at one of the far corners of the bed and Buster (the stranger hater) occasionally peeking into the room just to check me out. She moved away several years ago and I really miss those cats.

With three cats, three dogs, a little girl and her husband, she's lucky that there's room for her...:D

My little guy, in my sig, sleeps on the pillow next to mine, but I learned from the first day that I brought him home that this was what he was used to, so he gets what he wants, as well...:-)

I could get away with doing that a lot more when I was a little kid. It's not as much fun once you've washed the clothes yourself! Still, you can get sort of close to the feeling by putting on clothes that are fresh out of the dryer.

..and my husband, really.

because it encompasses so many other qualities I love: water, mountains, Call Me Wesley, The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger, my studio and work, my goddaughters/nieces, my past and my future.

my hometown is built on the side of a cliff/mountain, with the ocean right next to it...:)

home to me; now, the only things missing are my family in the US and my granny's southern cooking. :)

its actually morning, 3:35am, I got a doc appointment at 9am, but I can't sleep...I laid down for over two hours, tossed and turned, and said to hell with it...might as well stay up...and hang out at DU...:) Other than that...I can't really say.

Thank you bird for flying into view at just the right moment. I also have some fond memories of shots I made back when I played basketball

being around good friends, walking through a forest on a quiet spring day.

I have the parents and four of their pups living with me. The interaction of the dog pack is fascinating. The different personalities and the happiness they bring me makes life wonderful.

i am surrogate mom to four cats at my house, but there are no words for how my little girl makes me feel.

i got the little orange and white long-haired tabby when she was six months old and even though i've lived in my own place for over a year (she lives with my dad), whenever i come to visit she's waiting for me at the door

her face tells me how much she's missed me and the way she makes a beeline for my lap as soon as i sit down makes me so warm and fuzzy inside

She is so adorable, I can't help but smile when I look at her.

the look of pure childish happiness on my son's face when he laughs, the gentle and loving nature of my younger daughter, and the sound of my older daughter's voice when I know she's okay.

It's the best feeling. And good music, of course.
