Yikes! It is tough navigating the DU waters tonight. I think I will rest in the lounge. I would like to order a nice glass of wine please...ah what the hell: give me a double shot of tequila--gold please. Hold the lime.

Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 10:42 PM by haruka3_2000
there are going to be homeless horses running around with the stray dogs & cats.

Next time I go terrorist and steal an abused animal, it'll be a horse.

idea. It happened with a mostly-joking thread about liberating a cow.

14. WTF?
Insanity, I tell you.

So far I've only been called a terrorist for stealing a cat, who had to be put down anyway. At least she didn't have to suffer any longer.

21. I think last night or the night before was the full moon.
I think the highlight was when the people siding with the mugged woman were referred to as "Limbaugh listeners" and "John Wayne wannabe cowboys."

I guess that's an even higher honor than when I was informed I wasn't a liberal because I own a Jeep (my car died, Jeep was free...you'd take it too, right?) and my family owns several motorboats, which I use regularly...and naturally, those motors run on gasoline. Apparently, that negates the rest of my political beliefs and activism efforts (including a protest arrest).

I'm usually found in the lounge anyway, and trust me, I'm not a gun nut at all. Hell, I actually officially learned handgun safety from...get this...a theatre job I had. I was weapons captain and had to fire off a beretta with blanks backstage for the ending of "Of Mice & Men." That is how I officially learned guns.

33. I like to shoot them at cans when I am frustrated with ex.
makes a loud noise, instant gratification. My father is a lefty, was in WW2, learned to shoot lefty which is good since that is my good eye, so he taught me how to handle/shoot leftywise. I can see the appeal in all ways, just chose otherwise for myself.

38. The motto in my dojo is...
"Better to be judged by twelve, than carried out by six."

Personally, I like to shoot guns, but I don't feel they're necessary for personal protection for myself. I've been studying the martial arts for 13 years and my senseis and I agree that I am 105lbs of someone you don't want to fuck with. I actually prefer larger opponents because I'm very effective at infighting (too close for a larger opponent to be effective) and using my low center of gravity.

9. It's part of the midterm election offensive
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 10:42 PM by rocknation
Trying to burrow from within while "just being honest" like that Simon guy on American Idol. The 9/11 crock-u-drama, the RNC plan to spend millions on negative Dem campaign ads, the war on Net neutrality--why wouldn't they send in mole freep operatives into the largest liberal web sites? It's political genocide, pure and simple. They have to convince us we're weak and powerless and helpless so we'll stay home on election day. But with the Path to 9/11, I think they've overplayed their hand.

I've learned to use the "hide thread" button.

Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 11:05 PM by mycritters2
and other things (imagine!). But I always find myself agreeing with them in another thread. Oftentimes defending them where some other issue is concerned. People are multifaceted. As a wise man once said "It's a gift...and a curse".

One guy had me so upset I wasn't going to post anymore. Then I thought, if I've done something so bad I shouldn't post, the mods will let me know. They get to make that call, not some schlub with an axe to grind. So I started posting again.

I like you--but disagree with you about one thing. I disagree with most people about something.

And I'm not a Freeper!!

It's probably because of the new movie coming up. Stuff like that tends to bring the slime out of the woodwork.

There was one in GD a few nights ago reminding us how "vicious" and "barbaric" Muslims are, blah blah blah. You know, the usual garbage those types spew until they get their granite chiclet.
