I just saw a product ad on TV.

I can tell you for sure that it was for the Q-ray bracelet, that the Q-ray is an "ionized" bracelet, that it costs a couple hundred dollars, and that everyone in the commercial was just so excited about it and thought everyone should have one. What I can't tell you is what the helll it's supposed to be/do. I can't tell you what the hell an "ionized bracelet" is, what it's made out of, what "ionized" means in this case, or anything else of any real worth.

I, being the curious person I am, even went out to their markting website and loked around a while to see if maybe there was anything there worth the "knowing and the telling". Nope...not a thing. A whole lotof words, and I did learn that it comes in many styles (all of which look like Celtic Torcs if you ask my opinion) and they even have a Christmas version with a little, badly etched, cross on the ball ends. Still don't ahve a clue what it is suppoed to be/do.

My conclusion is that it was a lot of excitement and words designed to fleece you out of more money and give you a useless trinket in return. Kinda like watching a political debate or a Bush press confereance really.

...Just don't know why this one is so friggin special. I think it's, in part, the scientist in me. They throwing "big and important sounding words" out there and, as near as I can figure out, it is all crap in this case.

make you believe that it will work. When they do that, you are suckered into buying it. If you believe that it will work, then there is a good chance that it will.

There is no way to prove that these things work. A lot of what they claim to do is relieve aches and pains. If you believe this thing will work (and just paid a few hundred dollars), then there is a good chance it will.

I tell you what, lets try this. You send me 4 easy paymens of 79.99, and I will send you one of my daughters barbie bracelets ... er ... I mean Ionized bracelets. If you believe that it will work, then there is a good chance that it will.

I think it is a scam (or they would be prescribed by doctors).

BTW - I think my mother has one of these things.

which are found in falling water (ie around fountains and waterfalls) are supposed to be helpful in refreshing the air and hence those who breathe that air. But I don't see how a bracelet can create negative ions, unless a small waterfall is attached!

This is quackery at it's best. But, if a person thinks it will help them, eh, "a fool and his money are soon parted."

I don't recall where (I'm sure it could be googled up though), but the product does no good whatsoever, and the $10 trinket from k-mart would look just as good on your wrist.

Ion: An atom or a group of atoms that has acquired a net electric charge by gaining or losing one or more electrons.

I don't think I want to convert.
