Yay!!!
I got to take a REAL shower tonight. Somebody gave one of those really cool "giant rubbers" that go over your cast. And it worked!!! It really, really did! Not a drop of water on my cast... and I was able to stand in the actual shower... instead of sponge bathing and feeling sorry for myself. I feel human again!!!

2. From that stupid puncture on the bottom of my foot earlier this
summer. It dislocated my foot and destroyed the tendon/ligament important to the arch. :( I thought it was all better, so this is irritating. :hug:

4. I know that feeling too well
I had a cast on my leg(s) for 10 months after my car accident. When I finally got them both off I sat in the tub for hours. I kept emptying and filling it up again with warm water. aaaaahhhhhhh

7. I'm good... working long hours
Big final push for a big product we're working on. Hopefully all the hard work will pay the bills for the next couple years.

I look back at that 10 months and wonder how I got through it.. but you just do.

Every few seconds or so I would look at it to make sure water wasn't getting in because it felt weird. :hi:

I have a tiny idea of what you must be going through....

After my surgery last Wednesday, I could not take a shower till Sunday!

But four days is nothing compared to six weeks!

the one around the big toe :eek:

I strained mine about a month ago and it is hell, just when I think it is better it goes out again.

I am so glad you got to take a real shower, I know how wonderful those are!

34. that is a miserable tendon to have injured.
I just stretched mine and it drives me bonkers, I can imagine what a pain in the foot the puncher was.

26. It's from that same injury I got in early July.
They did an MRI and found the trouble. I feel really good! :hug: :loveya:

:hug: When my sister had knee surgery in the early 80s, she had the same problem. My mother fixed her cast up in several layers of garbage bags and duct tape, and it did the trick. After two weeks of sponge baths, she couldn't stand it any more, and she NEEDED a shower---just to make herself feel human again. She was a happier human being after that. :P I know you are too.
