40 years ago today, I saw "The Great Escape" on network TV.

Or maybe it was just the first part of it.

I was taken with Steve McQueen's character.

I watched it again about 5 years ago. This time it was Richard Attenborough's character (Roger Bartlett, "Big X") who impressed me with his organizational skills.

Time changes us. :-)
