Anybody Here Remember 'The Groove Tube' ???
Man, I barely remember it, but I remember laughing my ass off at the time. Wonder how it's worn with age.

2. I vaguely remember it...
...but I confuse the skits in it with others that came out around the same time...namely, "The Boob Tube" and "The Kentucky Fried Movie"

They were funny in their time, but it's been 25 years or more since I've seen any of them.

The one I DO distinctly remember from that era was "Flesh Gordon"...possibly one of the best parodies I've ever seen.

7. KFM and Boob Tube were pale imitations
Not 1/4 the laugh factor.

5. That was the best! I loved it!
It did take everybody a few moments to realize what they were looking at BUT I noticed that the women realized it before the men did (I guess since that view was more familiar to them.) :D

4. It looks old, but it is still hysterical!
You can find it at your local video store. Chevy Chase and Richard Belzer were unknowns, and classic! Remember "The Dealers" sketch? And Brown 25? Oh gawd! Thanks for the flashback!

And the penis guy with the google eyes lecturing about VD! LOL!

And...and...Cramp Easy Lube shortening's Holiday Loaf!

And...that guy dancing down the street with his briefcase...oh, man, I'm heading to the store!

9. One of the minor trivia pieces...
... related to "The Groove Tube" is that the red-haired guy chasing after the brunette in the opening credits (suddenly meeting up with the cop who's waiting for him) is Buzzy Linhart, who was a pretty wiggy musician in the days at the height of the folk scene in Greenwich Village. He was an occasional sideman to people like John Sebastian in the early `60s. Even played vibes on one of Fred Neil's records.
