So how's your day going?
So far:

My kid is a ghost, my boyfriend wants to be a lesbian when he grows up, I did great on my sex test and I had dessert for breakfast and dinner for lunch. Life as usual here at The House of Lefty.

You?

1. Hmmmmm
Let's see.

My kids are bored.

My husband is boring.

My boyfriend is a slacker.

And I'm really really tired.

and some of that is true.

2. Hmm...
hung out on DU, got a coupon for free cigarettes in the mail, went to the smoke shop, came back & the lounge was taken over by Os, then NWC1981 decided to appreciate me, and then I caused your boyfriend to discover his calling in life, and now I'm eating veggie buffalo wings with Ginsberg (weirdest cat ever).

you have my sympathy. Even if you like your MIL, 10 days is a LONG time. :wow:

11. I don't like her much.
For example, when I had a miscarriage a few years ago she said it was punishment for the fact that I didn't want children when I was first married and for using birth control then.

And she hasn't cleaned her home since LBJ was President! (That's not much of an exaggeration!)

Does that give you a pretty good idea of what she's like?

5. My life is pleasantly boring compared to yours.
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 05:06 PM by ThomCat
I'm sitting here at work... working (mostly).

There are 4 of us in this office. Two are out right now because they're getting married on Saturday (to other people). I have no idea how they both ended up getting married on the same day, but it leaves us on half staff.

One of those people is my boss, and whenever he's out everyone comes to me. I'm his back-up. So I am expected to work extra overtime everyday until he comes back to keep things running. Not going to happen! He'll get to clean up his own emergencies.

8. It's going well
Got up late, had a great Pilates workout, went to Trader Joe's, bought some of that awesome Good Karma rice cream and some of their sun-dried tomato hummus (among other things).

All in all a fine day.

9. You mean besides the death threats?
Somebody blocking my emails for helping them diagnose their email problems?

The security breach?

14 emails to and from my lawyer?

In other words, a typical day.

19. Yeah, I noticed that you'd posted on it after I wrote my other note.
24 is really the only thing I watch on TV, except for movies that we rent. I'm not a big TV watcher, as a rule.
You're right about the time passing quickly. I officially become the parent of a teenager this Nov. when my son turns 13. Yikes, how did THAT happen? :scared: Whew...

:hi: Good to see ya!

I very much need to continue my current project, but I've had a flare-up of the Big D and it's been hard to concentrate.

24. You know what, Lefty?
I've never had a layover that long here. I went running this morning along the river - it was very pleasants. High 70s, no humidity, beautiful scenery. Later in the day, I walked the river trail into town and went to the railroad museum. Then I wandered around downtown, and went back into old Sacramento, where I found the coolest Irish pub. They were playing Van Morrison, U2 and Flogging Molly, and pints of Guiness were $2.00, and the locals were friendly and fun to hang out with.

I've decided Sacramento isn't that bad at all!

This week has been a filler week for homecoming week. Just school and stuff. Though I think I'm doing better in geometry...yay!

22. It's been a hard day
Not feeling too well, but too much to do at school to take a sick day. I yanked the spine out of my cadaver today--that was kind of traumatic. I got an email from the girl who's repeatedly broken my heart for nearly the last decade. I'd like to just get in bed but there's too much studying to get done. Oy.

MrG is asleep again (:( no night time cuddles there)...

...on the plus side, my daddy just gifted me with 4 tickets to the Packers/Lions game this weekend. 4 rows back,50 yard line, behind the Packers bench. That's a very good thing. :) :hi:
