I'd wax it, but I'm anti-body hair in general.

I was blessed with the majority of my blonde hair on my head.

Was the first I had ever heard of someone doing that. Kinda weirded me out.

Very artsy European gay guy I knew in college. He had a Look. We all thought it was very odd, but we respected the Look.

I've got blond hair but lots of it. My arms are pretty hairy.

Now I feel self conscious :cry:

I shave my pits because the idea of applying deodorant to a thatch of hair repulses me

At times, but not on regular basis, I shave my underarm hair and my lower leg hair. More seldom the hair on my upper leg. And I do give myself a haircut in 'the midlands' as coined in "Mrs Henderson Presents" but not on scheduled basis.

I save it in leftover baby food jars and give it as gifts at Christmas :rofl:

I was just curious if people were really leveling with everyone, or were some, er, uh, more "ironic" members of the Lounge just trying to get a rise out of the guys among us with all the votes for the "wild and natural" response! :rofl:

I'm sure you all know this already (see, I've already learned how smart you are), but in many cultures the sexual appeal of long hair on women (in all body locations) is very well established, and any females who SHAVE any of it are considered weird at best.

Makes sense, when you think about it. Long, abundant body hair = higher testosterone levels, in men AND women. Higher testosterone levels in both men AND women means higher, stronger sex drive. And we all know THAT can be threatening to the insecure. :hide:

Maybe American men are revealing their distaste for overt female sexuality, contrary to their common expressions, when they want "their" women to shave, baby, shave it all or I won't come near ya!.... ;)

Probably related to the American obsession with BATHING........ (I've heard Europeans think Americans are "soap & water crazy"!)

In my prime, I had dark hair on my arms and bleached it with Clairol Instant Whip and peroxide.

Always shaved under my arms and my lower legs.

Don't recall anything else, except my stepdaughters, now in their 40s, didn't shave underarms or legs. Luckily, they were light complexioned so it didn't bother me too much.

However, there's not enough hair on the rest of my arms to amount to anything. I had a friend in college who wanted to shave her arms and tried it once, and she decided it was waaaaayyy too much work for the result. :rofl: But no, I don't shave anything on my arms except my armpits. :P

I had no idea people shaved their arms...:rofl:
